"The area around the cottage was exquisitely beautiful, with walks from the door for all levels of hiking. We did not use the car once during our stay. A note in the information booklet said the cottage is undergoing a refurbishment in winter 2025, so hopefully some of the facilities will be modernised. A set of decent knives would have been good. The major drawback for us was the proximity of the cottage to the main road. The road noise was very intrusive, particularly early morning, wishing we...

"The Larches provided us with everything and more for a tranquil walking holiday Easter break. We enjoyed the idyllic surroundings and views, multi level garden teaming with wildlife. Beautiful characterful cottage, extremely informative library for local walks fully kitted with lovely clean comfortable beds, culinary equipment and crockery needs. "

"I liked the easy location to the town, quiet and peaceful setting near the river with the picturesque park within easy reach. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would return in the future. The only niggles were the television was a bit dated, the heating was a bit hit and miss and parking could be a bit tight. Other than that everything was good."

"This is a great apartment - it has a great location within 5 minutes walk of the centre of Keswick super handy access to Booths Supermarket and great views to the North looking at Skidaw and its approaches. Inside it is comfortable and has everything that you need for your stay - all kitchen and laundry is as expected and bed linen plus bath and hand towels were provided for each guest. Will absolutely stay again."
