Algaiarens Beach

30 seconds walk from the beach, this apartment is ideal for families looking for a prime location and the control of self catering. Our twins loved the pool and used it daily. The owners were also excellent.

Very nice spacious apartment with kitchen facilities and fridge. Fan works well, no concern for AC. Gorgeous balcony and pool facilities. Good communication with host and accommodating. Very good location to beach and bus stop. Port is only 15 min walk downhill. No safe available just to be aware of

So, this apartment does what it says on the tin: cheap, cheerful, good location. The apartment was clean and nicely presented. The shower was good! However, it lacked basics- for example, it had precisely 2 forks, 2 wine glasses etc and didn’t have a chopping board (other than a tiny slate you could just about chop a lime on). It did not have an oven, only a hob. For self-catering, I expect to be able to cook a couple of evenings of my holidays- it was barely possible in this apartment. The pool area was, frankly, pretty gross. Some of the sunbeds were broken, others were filthy. There were cigarette ends rolling about everywhere. The pool & surrounding area was not cleaned the whole time we were there (one week). There were broken, filthy drains which were cracked and sting up as a hazard around pool area. It’s a shame because this could be a great place to stay, with just a few tweaks and some decent maintenance. As others have said, no aircon. Fine in Oct but I’m not sure I’d cope in the summer.
