"Such a lovely place to stay. Fully equipped with everything you'd need, including some of their hen's eggs. The property comes with a heat pump and UFH (underfloor heating) so we were very cosy. There is also a wood stove but found it was not required for our stay in September. Would be amazing in the winter months. Great shower, strong water pressure and, plenty of hot water for 4 adults and 1 child. We look forward to returning and highly recommend to anyone else."

"Beautiful surroundings and views, house pleasant and has everything you need. Kitchen a nice size and modern. Uncomfortable double bed and for the price (over 300 a night) I would expect more comfort. Bathroom modern, no bath, but great shower. A nice space but cleaners left food in cupboards and grease. No dustpan and brush. Dishwasher needed salt/rinse aid. Big cobwebs and insects hanging from them - lots of spiders but there are lots of midges and spiders don't bother me. A dryer would be a...

"The amenities in the property were very poor. The price I paid for one night stay was extort for the facilities on offer in the property. The heating only worked in the kitchen. The electric heaters in other rooms were present but could not be switched on. There was no hot water in the property. We tried following the advice in the property folder but were unable to turn on the hot water. The mattress in the main bedroom was very springy and uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, very poor...

"A top place to stay as far as we're concerned. The staff were amazing and were attentive. Food was great and even though the chef was unable to attend for breakfast, the staff pulled together an amazing breakfast for us. We were on the second floor with a couple of suitcases so the stairs were an issue but nothing insurmountable and ended up being a part of great memories about the place. All in all, a place that we will stay at again if we can."

"We loved our stay at Achnabobane Farmhouse! Our room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated having the mini fridge available. Neil the proprietor runs a tight ship, makes a mean breakfast, and is a great conversation partner. If you're looking for a visit with character, this is the place for you!"

"We arrived at the Accommodation and we told we had booked 2 rooms, but that was incorrect as the receipt we had showed only one (it's important as you'll see). the room was large and comfortable, but smelled of wet dog, we aired the room and tried to sleep there but the smell got stronger as the night went on. next morning got out of bed to find the carpet wet and that the on-suite toilet had been leaking. Good news is, on complaining, the staff moved us to the only spare room in the hotel (the one from earlier, lucky mistake eh!), the 2nd room was very nice, a little smaller, but well appointed and comfortable so the staff handled this well without any quarrel and very apologetic. The dining room and breakfast rooms were a bit aged, needing an update, but the food was well presented and tasty, served quickly and hot with local delicasies available and a well stocked bar. It's a nice enough hotel, with IMO just above average rooms and facilities not a lot different from a Holiday inn. A bit too expensive if I'm honest for what you get, and certainly not as good as others we stayed at on the 3 weeks business trip, but anything on a NC500 road has an unofficial 25% tourist tax on everything."

"This is must stay for me, we only booked for one night as we were passing through. However I wished we would’ve stayed longer. Check in was incredibly simple and easy. It is contactless, but we ran into the owner Mark at the front, and he was super nice and very helpful! The entire lodge inside and out is immaculate. It provides a coziness and elegance to it that is difficult to capture in a picture. The lounge holds history, the rooms are spotless and comfortable. 10/10 in my book. If we are even back in the area, we would stay again!"
