"The position of the hotel was really wonderful - so close to the seafront and walks. The Hotel was comfortable, and staff very friendly. The Bay restaurant was excellent - a good choice and very well cooked and presented. Extremely helpful and friendly waitress. We will definitely return and book a bigger room. "

"As always staff and service excellent, however we had poor WiFi reception in our room this time but there was renovation works being carried out on other floors which may have effected the signal.. Cooked breakfast is always tasty and well served! Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon :)"

"Beautiful hotel and grounds however we did feel some areas looked a bit tired. We stayed in a cottage in the grounds and room needed a repair and paint Spa was tired too and the time restrictions of 7-10 am, 5-9 pm were not ideal as you needed to fit in breakfast and dinner too. So no chance of a lay in on our break which was a shame Some of the staff were great! Tommy on reception and also a new member of staff in restaurant from Australia had great customer service. "The room was clean and modern but quirky built into an extremely old building there were beams and uneven doors and door frames lovely charm. We also stayed for dinner which was excellent made to feel most welcome straight from arriving by James (ask for his long vodka). A lovely welcome good food good drink and a comfy bed. Excellent."

"Lovely home made cooked breakfast to order. We were in the suite room lovely living space, futon bed was a little uncomfortable but memory foam used so may just be us. Everywhere was very clean, nice tea and coffee, decor and a well laid out bathroom. Was quite noisy in the morning and could hear breakfast being laid and noise from upstairs bedroom with people walking around. Overal a lovely stay and very friendly owner. "

A bit disappointed that breakfast was not served until 9.00 am, although they did offer me a take away hamper. This was a business trip so I could not hang around for breakfast. "Great location in the heart of Tenterden with ample parking. The check in was fast and welcoming. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed. The hotel is in a quiet area so I slept very well. I had the eggy soldiers for breakfast which was good and very nostalgic! My only minor gripe was the time the sink hot water took to arrive....in fact it never got hot even after running the water for 15 minutes. "I only needed it for one night business. The host was friendly and the price was very reasonable considering it had its own ensuite. It's a little out if the centre but only 15mins walk from St Leonard train station. "
