the hotel is welcoming with friendly staff, the rooms are very clean and tidy, and the inhouse Brasserie is excellent again with excellent staff and the food and portions are fantastic. Onsite Car Park is a bonus and is well viewed. I have stayed in this hotel 3 times now and have never been disappointed with anything

Hotel was elegant. Nice big room but toilet was small. The parking is an issue but paid £5 for a permit and parked outside the hotel overnight which wasnt too bad. The best part was nice sexy female staff in the reception and in other parts of the hotel. Sight for sore eyes lol. They were generally very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and will defo come back in the near future

Cannot fault the Halfway House Pub. Stayed here for 4 nights..Friendly welcome shown our room by Mike. All staff friendly and helpful. Room was excellent spotless and uensuite was great. Breakfast was very good. Ate here twice in the evening and food was excellent. Great evening spent listening to the Sea Shanty choir. Dog friendly.. No car park but public car park £5 for 24 hours. Will definitely be staying again. Thanks to all staff at the Halfway House.

This is a classic older hotel but it is very well maintained. Rooms and common areas were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and available. On-site parking is limited (I'd say about 20-25 vehicles and it's a 72 room hotel) so if the place is busy you have to find a space and park on the road but there are places.

Excellent location, perfect for solo travellers. The room and common areas were spotless, and Judy, the hostess, was welcoming and helpful and cooked a mean breakfast. Luggage storage was provided, which is always appreciated. Would highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Plymouth.

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay as it was close to saltram House, and because it was dog friendly. The rooms are set out so that the ground floor doors open out into the car park which I found brilliant for my dog. The room itself was lovely. Well equipped and the comfiest bed ever. The fact the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower was a huge bonus. The staff are amazing. Helpful and friendly. And the buffet breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Would highly recommend this...

Bathroom not user friendly, and some nice biscuits in room would have been nice. Staff were brilliant and always had time to have a friendly work.

We had a lovely stay at the moorland! The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and pleasant to sleep in :) there is a handy bar and restaurant within the hotel which we had pre booked a table at & the food was great! They also allow your dogs to stay which is another great feature. As to the local area, we only stayed at the hotel as stop pit so didn't get to explore the surroundings but it did look very peaceful & tranquil and would be great for walkers! Highly...

Lovely place, lovely setting. Convenient for a Plymouth but quiet and picturesque, fantastic walks along the Yealm. And a great pub.

Clean room, helpful staff, appropriate amenities. Parking was a little issue but this was outside of the staff’s control and they provided appropriate alternative parking as our initial space was taken by a member of the public

We've stayed at The Cornish Arms on many occasions and it never fails to disappoint. Fantastic welcoming staff, wonderful food (dinner and breakfast) and a well-appointed and luxurious room.

Lovely little gem great wedding location. We just stayed for the one night but definitely recommend will be back.
