"This was a last minute booking. We got our room for a very good price even by budget hotel standards. It was a no frills hotel but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the setting was so peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved exploring around the race course (not a race day) despite the weather. "

"The super king size bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The help yourself breakfast was well stocked even towards the end of the allotted breakfast period. I have seen complaints about noisy doors and can understand why!! The way the door locking mechanism works, makes it difficult for occupants to leave their rooms quietly. Overall, it was a pleasant two night stay and I would be happy to use the hotel again in the future."

"A 3-night stay using Kirkcaldy as a base to visit Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews by rail. Well located for this. Hotel was recently refurbished, bar and restaurant were excellent. Only downside was the room was small and cramped for a 3night stay for 2 people. Very good for a single person or overnight. Need a bigger room for a couple or longer stay."
