"Strange to have less car parks than rooms, this meant I had to park in the street nearby which was difficult as there were few options. There was no hot water, eventually the shower water became warm but never hot. I asked the receptionist for information about one of the main local tourist attractions and she could only tell me the location of the tourism office."

"The shower dripped continually and advised staff who found no fault but the dripping continued. Curtains were torn. No specific instructions for TV or heater operation. Furniture was outdated. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had full provisions. Ideal location. Staff were helpful."

"It was a very easy walk from the train and the owners/managers were kind and helped me book cars to my hike. I didnt spend much time in the room except to sleep but it was clean and excellent for the price."

Amazing property, very welcoming and friendly staff. We got the lovely cabin which has its own spa and it was very comfy, with a fire in the chimney as we got it. Very calm and peaceful. The location in the countryside is far but worth the trip. There is tennis and pool table on site. We even got to feed the alpacas!

Incredible experience thanks to fantastic hosts and a wonderful property. The Chalet was exactly what we were hoping for from a stay in Blue Mountains which was a little off the beaten path but still with good train access to Katoomba etc.
The owners are incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making for a very personal experience. Other than the hospitality, a highlight has to be the visiting parrots and other wildlife in the area.

Place was full of character with complimentary food, John kindly let us leave our luggage there while we went hiking after checkout and before our train back to Sydney. Room was spotless with fresh flowers when we arrived.

Excellent location. Good motel. Park in front of room. Table and chairs outside for a beer. Goid size room. Good bathroom. Toaster, kettle, tea, coffee, fridge. Good bed.

Blackheath is the best place to stay when visiting the Blue Mountains. It's less of a resort than Katoomba, and closer to more of the best trails. The motor lodge is my favourite place to stay. Comfortable, super friendly, and reasonably priced.

Madison Mountain Retreat is exactly what it says. A retreat in the Mountains, away from pesky 'real world' interferences of internet, email, phone calls, texts etc.
Blissfully peaceful, rustic, but lovely cabins, lively alpacas, glorious birdsong, beautiful surrounds.
The staff are lovely and friendly, and will supply basic foodstuffs (bread, milk, cheese, bacon) on requests, as well as eggs daily from their free range hens.
This is a wonderful place to unwind and relax.
There's plenty to do...

All we needed for overnight accommodation in good condition. Very easy check in / check out. Location is excellent for proximity to sights. Car an advantage to get into town centre, it’s quite hilly! Cafes within easy walking distance for breakfast. Good supper choices in town centre. Quiet and peaceful, staff very helpful and friendly. Very happy to stay again.

We had a room in the main motel block. Very basic but it had all that we needed including a fridge, a fan, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries.
The room itself was a bit tired, the curtains didn’t quite close, the sliding door to the bathroom didn’t quite cover the doorway. These little quirks didn’t detract from our enjoyment: The bed was comfortable, shower was good, towels were changed daily.
