"If, like myself, you only drink water with dinner, don't joke with the waitstaff about too many options. She soured after that. A minor hiccup in an otherwise excellent stay."

"The hotel is situated in a beautiful, quiet location with stunning views of the loch from the lounge and dining room. The staff were friendly and helpful but service at evening dinner was very slow at times. The hotel is small and was built about 10 years ago. It appears to have been originally well specified at the time but, being hyper- critical, 10 years' use is starting to show up now in places. Nevertheless we would be happy to stay again, especially if the perfect weather could be...

"Beautiful location (waterfront), extremely friendly and helpful staff, close to lots of walkable dining options,…. Only con was that there were very few close parking spaces. One night we ended up parking in a pay to park lot about 5-10 minutes walk away. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Still would recommend this hotel if staying in Portree."

"Jennie and her team provided exemplary service during our three night visit. The inn couldn't be more lovely, the food delicious and the hospitality warm and gracious. Will definitely refer Atholl House Skye as THE most wonderfully authentic place on the island to my friends in America. The town of Dunvegan with its very own castle delights. This place sparkles! "

"We had a brilliant stay in Creagory Skye. Lovely clean B and B. With en-suite rooms. Bed was really comfy. Large bathrooms with shower. Easy parking. Only a short walk to Portree with bars and restaurants. Susan was a lovely host and very welcoming and informative. Lovely touches in the rooms. Hope to go back soon."

"Janet & Stuart couldn’t have been better hosts. Our room was crisply clean with an oh, so comfy bed and a view of the sea. Janet had freshly baked breads and cookies waiting for us. There was a comfy living room with espresso machine, drink glasses, etc at the ready for guests. The breakfast room was perfect. Stuart served us individually prepared breakfast from a generous menu. "We had a fantastic stay at Taigh Duitseach in April 2024. Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming. We were only on Skye for 72 hours so we'll definitely be coming back and would feel lucky to stay here again next time!"

"Jane was an amazing hostess! The night we arrived, she prepared us tea and delicious strawberry crumpets, it was a lovely gesture after the journey getting to her lovely house. Her breakfasts were wonderful and she was very helpful in helping us decide which hikes/walks to do while on Skye. I cannot recommend this place enough - room was spacious and very clean, good sized bathroom too. Our room had a mini fridge that she stocked daily with some water, pops, etc. Quiet place to stay as well. I...

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"It's a super wonderful experience for me and my wife staying here. Ian and Christine are really treating guests with their thoughtful hearts. An attached private lounge for us is a big wow surprise, way beyond our expectations. We enjoyed the comfy bed and delicious breakfast very much! Ian also recommended us some hidden gem locations which we added in our itinerary, it's eye-opening and give us super different experience. We love this place and regretted not booking more days here and look...
