"Located at the outer edge of Banff, the hotel/condo is away from the bustle of downtown. It is some 2-3 Km from town, a long walk, or you can drive (but parking may be problematic.) There is a shuttle every hour or 2. This is an older property, but is kept in reasonable repair. Units are comfortable. Area is very quiet except for the inevitable train noise. And good value if you can find a sale."

"I just spent a couple nights at Hotel Canoe with my boyfriend and we had an excellent stay. The hotel is beautiful and clean! The staff were super friendly and helpful! Our room had one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Loved the added touches like the personal coffee and complimentary bus passes. We had cocktails at Sudden Sally and they were delicious, wish we had planned to eat there as well. Only con we had was that we found the bed to be too firm but that’s just a matter of our...

"I love the layout of the room. Very convenient place to stay after a long hours of drive before heading home. We went there to celebrate as well our 10th year anniversary. A little bit disappointed when I told the hotel few days before we check in that we are celebrating our anniversary and they said "will do our best to make your stay extra especial" but seems liked an ordinary stay. But overall it was a good stay. "

"It’s all about the location. Absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky that there were no tour groups staying so we had no problem getting into the restaurants. Highly recommend! One suggestion…a less expensive breakfast option especially for those travelling with children."
