"So pleased l booked this hotel for my first solo trip to Bordeaux. Hotel opposite Saint Jean Gare from where l had got the Direct bus from Airport. Ibis Budget is immaculate. The facilities are excellent including the wonderful breakfast. Staff so helpful. Can get the tram opposite hotel, outside station to Bordeaux Centre, just a 13 minutes journey. All round a great hotel for a base to see the sights of beautiful Bordeaux. Definitely staying at the Ibis Budget if back in Bordeaux."

"The booking at hotels.com said check in time started at noon, but when I arrived the staff said it was 2pm and they could not give me a room, while storing luggage would cost additional 2 Euros. When I was a bit frustrated by this, another staff at the reception (Timothee) kindly helped me find a room which was ready for check-in, I appreciated his help in resolving this matter in a nice way. "Set on a nice quiet street 15 min walk to town… 15 mins drive from the train station. The staff were lovely all with a good level of English. Great self contained 1 bedroom with sep lounge living area with pull out double sofa bed. This would need a a great place to use as a base to explore other areas…. Just wish they had included milk in the ftidge"

"The hotel in a good location and close to the tram which takes you into the heart of Bordeaux. You can collect the tram from the airport and it stops about 150 metres from the hotel. The tram is a bonus and costs on 1 euro 80cents for the Journey. The rooms are in good condition and clean. Although fairly tight for 3 people but easy and roomy for 2 persons. Shower big enough however toilet is pretty tight. Its a budget hotel and you get what you are paying for and I would stay there again. "

"I liked he restaurant selections on the boardwalk, and the closeness to the Cite du Vin museum.. I didn’t like my bed, which was supposed to be a queen, but instead was 2 twins pushed together.. the sheets didn’t fit properly & I woke up each morning sleeping on the bare mattress, as the fitted sheet kept slipping off. I didn’t like my room window facing the inside grass area at ground level, I had no view and didn’t want to open the curtains to be in plain view of others. The reception people...

"Warm welcome when checking in and during all interactions with staff. Bottle of rose in our room was a nice touch. Wonderful location. Didn’t have breakfast. Damp smell in room, but it’s an older, traditional property. Nice windows with shutters that could be opened allowing fresh air into the room. Would definitely stay again. Very good value. "
