"The cottage was perfect for my husband and I.we was so surprised, that the voters had everything plus. And right by the river.. Don’t forget your fishing pole. Cottage is fully furnished, grills and stove. We will book again. You well be sorry if you pass this Gem up. Thank you again Ashley and chimney riverside cottages."

"I think the wall in the bathroom in Property# 8 could be clean/wipe down but overall the property are nice, quiet, and clean."

"Bed was clean and both mattress and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom tub, toilet and sink area was clean. Bathroom floor looked like it needed a little extra cleaning. I know it can be difficult for housekeeping staff to view the room from the bathtub and toilet but if so, it would be good to do that because that is what your guest see. We had the King suite and we loved how spacious it was and the additional seating in the room was great. Overall definitely worth the affordable price."

"This was our first trip to 1927 Lake Lure Hotel but not the last I hope. Staff was excellent and so helpful. The room was very clean. The whole property is so pretty and the antiques are a very nice touch in the lobby as well as on every landing. The only thing I would add is to have restaurant open we would have rather to have eaten there. Hope to come back with my best friends for a girl trip soon. "

"This was a great little motel. I can tell they work hard to make it a great place. The cleanest room I have stayed in for a long time! Friendly staff. The breakfast was very limited though and since I stayed there 4 nights it would have been nice to have more variety and maybe protein choice like peanut butter or Greek yogurt or even cream cheese. The fruit was limited but fresh. Coffee not so great but I’m from Seattle area so I like good coffee lol. I would stay here again "

"Bed was comfortable and service was good. Some guests across the way were up late working on a vehicle and other guests were arguing loudly a couple doors down. Fortunately it all stopped by midnight and I was able to drown out the noise in the meantime by keeping the fan on and the TV on low. Other than some rude guests, the room was clean, had everything I needed, and I did get plenty of sleep for field work the following morining."

"I found the rooms very clean and neat the property as a whole outstanding with yard work ongoing here in the spring I could tell it's manicured to be enjoyed on a river it's hard to look planned or thought out but that's what they've been able to do here the onsite (tiki bar) is friendly and comfortable and with the local influx it's quite the conversation starter getting to know what's going on in the area The management goes above and beyond in ensuring you have a relaxed and enjoyable...

"TV did not work, floor was dirty and bed was very uncomfortable. If you need a place thats cheap and just for a night, it'll do, but would avoid unless you have no other options."

"The person at the front desk was friendly. The facilities were very scary to say the least. The facility is very ran down. Group of people in parking lot having a cook out. Room smelled strongly of years of smoking. Insects in bathroom. This one should not be listed on Hotels.com"
