"We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time. The hut was fully equipped with everything you need and was very cosy. We didn’t have the best weather but we lit the log burner and we’re lovely and warm. The area is absolutely beautiful and we had several long walks and runs. The night sky was amazing. As there’s no light pollution you can see so many stars. It’s quite remote but there is a shop about 15 minute walk away. We enjoyed being away from it all. "

"The property was unusual and unique. Loved the location. The room just suited us nicely. The staff were absolutely fabulous, helpfull, full of humour and couldnt be faulted. Food was delicious and the even accommodated the fussy eaters in the group. Highly recommended. Local beer to be tasted!!!"

"The Waverley has everything you want for a short stay, rooms are clean and fresh, shower room is ensuite and modern and there is plenty of tea & coffee (and biscuits) in the room. In the room we stayed in there was a large wardrobe and drawer chest. Bed was new and firm. Breakfast has a good range of options including cooked and continental"

"The bedroom was a beautiful room but a bit tired but it seems the rooms are being updated,the en suite had been already.What makes The Old Ship Aground stand out head and shoulders are the staff,every single member of staff was delightful,they were happy and took an interest in each guest,never experienced it anywhere before. "Rooms were not cleaned to a very good standard, lots of bits on the floors, behind sofa and beds. Very dusy in bathroom on window cill. Mirrors were very streaky. Room smelt very musty on arrival even though the windows were left open before we arrived."
