"This was a clean room, pillows were nice, hot tub could’ve been hotter, pool was cold, but, understand the time of year (still cold out) we had a big group and were able to stay in pool area and hang out. The owners were not around after 5:00 pm. But left out items such as toilet paper, coffee, cups. Very nice people that ran it (when they are at property)"

"We absolutely loved the dog otis, but were sad they don't share breakfast with other hotels anymore and slides should be fixed or replaced and pool area fixed up. Staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly. Other then some pool area maintenance badly needed the hotel was great!! "

"The jetted tub is the deepest, widest tub I’ve ever seen, it was great! Floor needed to be replaced! Other guests stayed out in parking lot partying till past 2-3 am! Over all, I did feel safe in my room, the front desk/concierge Man was amazing, kind and friendly! I would recommend"

"I was pleasantly surprised. My experiences with any property with the word motel in it have not been great. I can say that this has been the best motel I have stayed it. Owner / front desk was pleasant, accomodating and helpful. The room was small but quaint and everything was clean. Best part the room had a view of the lake and Mackinac bridge. The property is pretty much on the beach. I thought it was thoughtful and a nice touch to have an explanation in the room of the midges and a small box...

"Very clean room, helpful staff who took great care of our luggage…it was so convenient to have our bag shipped ahead on the ferry, so we could check out in the morning and enjoy the island for the day without lugging it around. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. The only down side was being able to hear all the dock and ferry noise on the waterfront side, but it was minimal. There were no vending machines, so I did have to venture out after business hours to search out a soda....
