This resort provides great value for money and is comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendly and will accomodate varying needs happily. The breakfasts were tasty and decent. We stayed at the resort each night for dinner and I can honestly say that I've never had better vegetarian Indian food - will never forget the amazing tastes.
As far as negatives, I would say that at night around 9-11 pm, there is often very loud music going on which can disturb folks who want some quiet time. Also, our iPhones (6 Plus) would not charge properly so this caused some frustration. Having said that, one of the front desk staff lent me his personal USB charger which helped slightly. I think the electricity is just very inconsistent.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I'm back.

By India standards this hotel looks nice and has well maintained grounds. Surrounding area bit dismal but that's India.
Rooms spacious and fairly clean. Large open balconies. Pool could do with being maintained better. Some days the pump/filter was not on and had bugs in water .
Breakfast area could be run more efficiently and keep food stocked up rather than having to ask for replenishment
Very good family experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Specially I would like to mention Rakesh name. He was very helpful and took special care of my 2 year kid.
Nearby you can get everything. Nice restaurants, mostly of the beaches are nearby.
They accommodated our late check-in, as well as a late check-out without any issue. The front desk staff always assisted us with calling taxis. After a minor struggle, the hotel refunded us for a supposedly "compulsory" New Years Eve dinner that the hotel was hosting. This dinner was not outlined at the time of booking; the staff appeared to know this since they asked us when exactly did we book the rooms. After we emailed them our time stamped confirmations, they refunded us. So, at the end of the day, we were satisfied, though you could tell the staff was not pleased with us because of the refund. The cleaning, baggage handling, and restaurant staff were all extremely friendly.
A/C in the room was very effective at cooling down the room. The sheets were clean most days, but we noticed several spots on the bedding after the last time our room was cleaned. A trail of ants appeared after I left an opened package of biscuits on the nightstand furthest from the balcony. There was only one roll of toilet paper provided, and it took several requests for them to finally bring us more.
Breakfast was fine. Besides the Indian breakfast buffet, they offered eggs however you like and toast. We also had room service a couple of times, which was a lot tastier (and speedier) than I expected it to be -- we had fried rice and a salt and pepper shrimp dish.
OK. The hearts of the nearby touristy areas were a 20-30 min walk away so we used taxis often.
The Pros and Cons
Rooms are good
Room service was good
Nice view from all rooms as they face garden or pool
The hotel is situated in by lanes and not on main road so you need a decent 5 minutes walk to find any hire a self driven car or eat at a decent place
Breakfast buffet is biggest let down and it needs to be improved drastically as the food taste was not upto mark . Seemed the chef was only adding the dishes to increase the spread but the taste was not upto mark . Overall the spread was also not good enough.
I had a great stay at Vivanta by Taj last week. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was spacious and was a nice nod to the Portuguese style that Goa is known for. The pool was by far our favourite place (and for some reason we seemed to be the only ones in there- winning)! The pool staff were fantastic, and the swim up bar was amazing. Prajyot the barman looked after us so well. The Banyan tree restaurant was so delicious and Jiva spa massages were fab. Would definitely recommend to others travelling to Goa. Not a cheap stay, but treat yo self!
The Candolim Beach in North Goa is a perfect alternative to the crowded beaches of Calangute or Anjuna. 15 km from Panaji, it can be very easily reached from Mapusa and Calangute. For those who prefer a serene and tranquil beach environment, this is the one of the best options. The area provides abundant opportunities for snorkeling, fishing, and diving. Being a prime tourist destination, the area has a number of hotels and guesthouses in the close vicinity of the beach. A must-see landmark at Candolim is Fort Aguada on Sinquerim beach—the best-preserved Portuguese fort in Goa.
