The hosts also stopped by to welcome us and ask whether we had any questions or additional requirements. John and Vicky were very keen that we had all the things we needed for our stay, and were able to tell us about the cottage and the local area. A lovely location even in winter - it must be even better in spring/summer. Sadly we had chosen the cottage because a hot tub was advertised as it would have helped with the children. This was not the case. After a long time on the telephone Vrbo did compensate in part for this...

"Great base to explore the Peak District, Nice clean and well maintained property on a farm with a friendly peacock that comes to the back door each morning for breakfast. The farm owners gave us a warm welcome and some chocolate biscuits on arrival. We will definitely be booking again."

"A well equipped and beautifully located cottage. Good position for visiting Buxton, Chester Zoo and all the Peak District walks. Good Local amenities. Friendly owners on hand for any issues or queries. Easily sleeps 8 (2 double and 2 twin room) and has two lovely hot showers. Plenty space for families!"

"We booked lavender cottage for 2 nights whist visiting family. We are a family for 3 adults and 2 children. Communication with the owner was brilliant, he was very helpful. Cottage was lovely and clean. Had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Just a heads up if you have very young children or mobility issues, the stairs are quite steep. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be booking again sometime. Thanks for everything."
