"The property was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. The house we were in was ideal for us. The house itself was really nicely finished, there was tons of space and it was in a beautiful setting. My young daughter really enjoyed going out to say hello to the chickens in the morning."

"What a fantastic property and lovely location, we booked The Cart Shed as a base for visiting York, the amazing Aquarium in Hull and the nearby town of Beverley which is such a lovely town with all the shops and eateries you would want. Staying here would also be a relaxing and peaceful place for a break. The Cart Shed has everything you need, just pack your clothes and enjoy the experience. Will definitely be returning!"

"Decided to take a short break with kids to York and found the milking parlour Wheldrake online. From our arrival we were blown away with the place it was the perfect family cottage. The hosts were easy to contact on the way down, the cottage itself is in the centre of the milking sheds now converted to lovely holiday cottages which are bright, spacious and clean. "A very pleasant flat/apartment for a short to medium stay. The hosts included many of the necessary items (soaps, towels, washing detergent for washing machine and dishwasher etc) and the kitchen is well supplied with utensils and cookware. The furniture was comfortable and we didn't find anything lacking during our stay. "This was a lovely cottage for our Christmas break, perfect for 2 adults and a dog. Maintained to a high standard and catered for all our needs. We'd like to return in Spring/Summer to further explore the area. Owners were very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. "Absolutely lovely little cottage in the most quiet location, once Judy had shown us around the cottage we were left alone to come and go as we pleased, the cottage is faultlessly clean with everything you need,it is so peaceful I had the best sleep id had in years Highly recommend and we will definitely be using this again as our son is at university in York and it's close enough to pop in and out of the city"

"A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"

"Excellent stay"

"Comfortable seating & furnished to a high standard. Well heated & adequate kitchen facilities. One criticism would be that the bedrooms are a little sparse: no bedside light or cabinet so nighttime safety is a risk. Also there were no obvious smoke alarms in the property. All said we were very comfortable & have booked a return stay."

"Very helpful and friendly owners, great location for visiting our new granddaughter. 2 mins walk to lovely Pearsons park. Some lovely welcoming items, lots of fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and cake all vegan as owners are, a couple of things i would suggest is maybe a door curtain could be put in place as there was no privacy going from the bathroom across the kitchen to the bedroom also there was no smoke alarm present. All in all a nice stay 👍 "
