"The room we stayed in was adequate, but it could be improved. I noticed that the balcony in our room was not clean. The hotel's front entrance needs proper lighting, and the artificial flower arrangement on top of the table should be replaced with something more vibrant. The employees are friendly and courteous. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel because it was so close to the mall, souvenir shops, museums, and restaurants. Finally, we had an enjoyable breakfast at Mengerita Tacos."

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa

"Didn’t enjoy being put in a room with ongoing construction overhead. The pounding was every day including weekends. The room had a Murphy bed that had a gap from the wall, so we lost pillows in the gap, which was weird. The TV was far away, on the opposite wall, but at least it was large. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The weather didn’t cooperate so we unfortunately would have enjoyed ourselves more had we not been victims of another week of near-biblical flood."

"The hotel itself was really great, the breakfast was very good. The only problem is the road is closed and your GPS will keep you running in circles. The other drawback is that the valet parking is as much as the nights stay. There is no the parking. There is no guarantee your vehicle will be safe either. It’s super close to Rivera and right across the street for the Alamo. All in all it’sa great hotel."

"My husband and I came to San Antonio for our Granddaughter’s birthday week. We booked another hotel, but we were very unhappy with the place. When we walked in to the Intercontinental we decided to stay there immediately. The lobby, the bar, the restaurant and rooms were sparkling. We made use of the gorgeous pool 2 days ina row and even though it was hot, the breeze was amazing as well as the water. Comfortable beds in the room. Complimentary waters every day. But the staff really set it apart! Everyone we came in contact with was so helpful and accommodating. It felt like they really cared and that is rare these days. I would 100% recommend this hotel and I now have a place to stay without disappointment to visit my granddaughter."
