“Great value!”
Nice comfortable historic hotel in the center of the city. Just a few steps to the river walk and the Alamo.
“Not impressed with the parking”
I was very happy with the Hotel, but not impressed with that fact we had to pay for parking, I was under the assumption that it was included in the cost of the hotel rate. But overeverything else was nice.
“Good nights stay, great location”
Walk right to the Alamno and Riverwalk in minutes. Great breakfast and fun Texas shaped waffles. Can tell it's an older hotel, but they have kept it up. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay again. Did not make use of pool or restaurant.
“good place”
will go back
“I was really impressed with my stay. The staff was very friendly and courteous.”
It was perfect for the price. Location was ideal and very, very, clean. I was made to feel very special. I will definitely go back. I cannot find one negative thing to say about it. The staff was AMAZING!!! I did not have to drive to anywhere. Everyone thing was walking distance. It was worth EVERY penny.
“For the price very close to convention center”
Rooms were clean and relatively comfortable. I was next to the vending machine which made it a little to noisy. Breakfast was fine but no meat. Fresh fruit, made to order waffles, and decent looking pastries. Not good if on low carb.
“Fine for a short stay”
The lobby and the friendly hosts would lead one to expect a bit more than the outdated, cramped room and marginal bath. Everything was adequate, but hardly luxurious. Location and service make a case for Crockett; accommodations do not.
“Close to all attractions, good breakfirst”
There are extra costs for parking, 20$ p. Day.
“Crockett Hotel renamed to: Crock-of-bull Hotel”
Beware Crockett Hotel and their extra fees! Not once was I told nor was there a sign indicating there would be a charge per day for parking in their lot. It wasn't until I was checking out that they wanted to know how I would be paying for parking! They need to seriously re-train or re-hire new staff since this was a massive fail on their part. They extra $20 per night for parking raised my hotel bill beyond my belief. (i stayed multiple days) If for some reason you do stay here, PLEASE ask for an outside room. (Some of the rooms have a window looking to the inside of the main lobby) So throughout the entire night all I heard was the hotel staff (front desk clerks) talking which would echo and resonate into my bedroom and wake me up every 15mins. The other reviews are correct in saying the walls are surely thin. The experience there wasnt anything to write home about, but for location purposes there are better facilities in the area. My main gripe overall was the extra $60 fee for parking (i was there for 3 nights). One more massive fail on their part is the "valet Parking" For an extra $18.95 per day they will drive and park your car about 50 feet in the parking lot. They actually employ staff to do this since most people cant walk ~20 yards to their car? *** Also I am waiting for mgmt to respond to this review and tell me how sorry they are just like the other generic robotic unsincere responses to the other bad reviews. Please look up customer service in the dictionary!
“Excellent location to the River Walk and Alamo”
San Antonio is a fabulous city to visit. Local people were so kind. So many things to do. I'd highly recommend visiting the 5 missions, Sear World and make sure to walk around Hemisfair Park and the view from The Tower of the Americas is spectacular.
