Downtown Sacramento

Posted 26-Apr-2015
Pros: Price, and location to Convention center
Location: It is about a 8 minute walk to the convention center...or 5+ minutes to a Starbucks & a couple of reasonably priced restaurants
Nothing to complain about other than the "Continental Breakfast" was a joke. If you want a comparison check out the Quality Inn a few blocks away which served a real breakfast, and was closer to the convention center. Internet speeds were ok, I was on third floor so it was fairly quiet. Think Motel 6 only better and you'll have a clear picture of what to expect. I'll stay there again as a backup choice.

Dirty, rundown

Posted 29-Mar-2015
The staff checked me in quickly and they were super nice and polite. The room was rundown and dirty. The comforter had a cigarette burn hole, the blanket was so old and then and pilling up and the sheets were thin and scratchy. There was some kind of brown liquid splattered on the wall - looked like coffee or soda, I'm hoping it wasn't something worse. Poor lighting. Homeless-looking types in the parking lot. Location was decent as was the parking. When I checked out the in the morning, some of the lights in the lobby weren't working.

Good stay

It looks run down from the street, wasn't bad. The staff do a good job and are friendly. Close to the center of town, great for weekend work trip.

never again

The hotel is not what is pictured. The fixtures are from the 70's, the beds are lumpy, paint is fading, mold in the bathroom, cold coffee and stale muffins. Sirens all night.

Cheap hotel needs a remodel

Posted 10-Mar-2015
The free wifi and refrigerator made this a better place to stay than the Sheraton Grand. However, the facility is out of date...to the point that I got stuck in the bathroom because of a broken door knob. No sound insulation, and single pane windows with missing screens.

Served its purpose

I was there for business. Needed a place to sleep. Bed was comfortable. Wish there had been a microwave and coffee pot.
