Okay motel for a night in midtown

Posted 12-Sep-2014
I like that the rooms have a fridge and microwave. I was disappointed that there was no coffee pot. The room smelled like a urinal cake when I walked in. The top bedspread looked ancient and a little scuffed and stained. Next time I have to stay in Sac, I'll either pay $30 more for a nicer place in midtown, or I'll pay $20 less and stay north of old town.

Great downtown location, pet-friendly

Posted 03-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
We chose this hotel based on the location - conveniently located downtown Sacramento. We also chose it because it was pet-friendly ($6 pet fee is unbeatable). The room itself was nothing special but it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had all the amenities we needed. Our only complaint is that because we had a pet, we had to take a smoking room. It's hard to believe there even are smoking rooms still today but they did a decent job deodorizing the room and it wasn't too unbearable.

Good deal for a short time stay

Posted 13-May-2014
The only problem I had while staying there was that the wifi internet sucks. It took forever to load video. But other than that, I was happy with the overall quality of the motel, especially for such a decent price. The motel is within waking distance of some restaurants. We arrived quite late, but we had no problem checking in And find our way around. It was pretty annoying to drive in downtown Sacramento cuz of the one way streets. So watch out where to turn when u r in and out of the motel.

Convenient and affordable

Posted 07-May-2014
Doesn't look appealing from the outside but the rooms are good. For the price the room was comfortable with a microwave, frig, iron and hair dryer. Not amenities I expected. I recommend it for anyone expecting to be out on the town, it's walking distance from many places.

15 mins from the Capitol

Posted 01-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Needed a place to stay the night that was in walking distance from the Capitol and didn't cost an arm and a leg. This fit the bill nicely. Room was clean, clerk was friendly and efficient, and there were no surprises. No, it's not fancy, but I didn't need fancy. And the wifi was free. My colleague at the Hyatt across the street from the Capitol had to pay an additional $15 for to get wifi.

Walking distance to nightlife

Posted 26-Apr-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Clean the stains
Location: Lots of good food nearby. The capitol is walking distance. The "Torch Club" nearby has good live music.
I have stayed here before and will stay here again because it is cheap. The room had that "smell", disinfectant or something. There were stains that I did not inspect too closely. You get what you pay for and this place is CHEAP! Management is really nice.

The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. I was in town for a couple of days and was not going to be in the room much anyway. The price was right and the value for it very good. I would stay here again, under the same circumstances.

Would not stay again

Posted 07-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
My friend and I did not enjoy our stay here. The blankets were stained, we slept with chairs in front of the door because we did not feel safe, and we recieved a call at 1am that woke us up saying that there was a noise complaint from someone. I would not stay again here ever.

Close to all sights in SF. Simple hotel with a simple breakfast (in the small reception)
