"Douglas Cottage exceeded expectations. It was delightfully decorated in Georgian and Victorian styles but managed to perfectly combine historical charm with all the necessary mod-cons. The hosts, Barbara and Andrew, greeted us on arrival and showed us around the cottage and explained how everything worked. "Property is ideal for a couple, short or longer stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent within a quiet area very close to City Centre. Great shops - highly recommended Butcher - and three great Pubs with nearest next door but one and furthest about a minute away. Parking on road is limited to 30 minutes between 0800 and 1800, but parking available close by, and was ok. Would recommend this property."

"Easy check-in. We arrived an hour early as I thought check-in was 2pm not 3pm but our room wasn’t ready but we were able to store our luggage with reception whilst we went to eat lunch. I thought we would have a two bedroom apartment but it was actually two one-bedroom apartments with the adjoining door open.
