"Historical property. Character. Great price. Lots of great pubs restaurants and shops close by. Difficult to find parking and getting to it during the day. Better to arrive late afternoon. "

"Lovely place to stay and spotlessly clean Our disappointment was the size of the room we paid extra for a standard double room rather than the small double , we were given room 14 which on reflection seems more like it was a small double as it only had one bedside table and a very small gap down the other side and caught my leg on bed end when getting back down the small gap. The bed was nice and comfy but could have done with extra pillow in wardrobe ( appreciate this is personal choice )...

"Great property. There is a small check in desk just behind the bar area. Staff at check were super friendly. Room clean and spacious and super king size bed really comfortable. We had a room for 3-4 so had a super king size and then a single bed in the room. Would definitely use again when in the area. O my downsize was it’s quite costly for a pub hotel at £125. "

"Great place to stay, room was comfortable and clean and the shower was amazing. The best part was the restaurant though, it is worth coming here just for the venison pie alone! Genuinely the best pie I’ve ever had and the staff on that evening were incredibly friendly and professional. I spend 4 nights away a week for work and I will definitely be booking in here again!"

"We have lodged at numerous hotels in the area. The Ragged Cot beats them all…Excellent staff, excellent location, excellent food.(especially the free breakfast).Excellent value. Nice warm room. Safe free parking. Good free WiFi. The restaurant menu is excellent. However, I would recommend that the management consider adding a “lighter bites” menu…The portions on the main menu are large! Well done to all the staff. "

"We had an excellent stay. The girls working there when we arrived late were brilliant. They made us some sandwiches even though the restaurant had closed and nothing was too much trouble. Best service we have had in a long time."

"Stayed here for a wedding, room was small but clean. You could feel the bed springs on your back when you laid down and the bed was a bit small. Understood they had breakfast included, but they don't serve breakfast. Staff was lovely and very accommodating. "

"Lovely location for our trip for the Cheltenham festival. Dinner on Tuesday was stunning. Excellent setting. Rooms equipped very well for what they are required for. Would recommend as a great stop for a few days in the Cotswold area "

"No problem until 10.30,the bar shut but to be honest,the poor guy that run the bar was a one man band. He did the bar and he and his wife did breakfast,so I forgive him for his grumpy face."

"Fantastic place to stay, unwind and be at one with nature! Not quite in the middle of nowhere but close enough. There are shops locally but we took what we needed for our stay so we could get away from everything. We ditched the car and walked everywhere. The forest is on your doorstep and a nature reserve just over the road.. Ideal place if you have dogs, enjoy walking and want to get away from daily life, just be aware of the hills. The house was cosy. A peaceful haven where you can sit...

"The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. Recommended for chilled out stay in...

"I stayed in the farm for 3 nights with my partner. The Annexe has everything you need and is perfect for a quiet and relaxing gateway trip. Having breakfast in the garden was definitely a highlight! Arthur, the owner, came to greet us the first morning and was very kind. They also provided us with a Welcome letter which was very helpful when looking for places to eat. The only cons is that the bathroom is a bit tight, specially the shower - I'm a tall woman- but I'd definitely recommend this...
