One bedroom got very small bunk bed which is not suitable for adult other bedroom got very beautiful view thru window. Nice and cozy warm bedroom. Bathroom was small and clean. "Fantastic location & views. Very basic which let it down. Not great when you travelled 4hrs on the road & not find any milk in fridge for a cup of tea. Lovely shower but all the mould let it down (even the fake plant was covered in mould). Tiny bath towels and no blind on window,Hole in fence has not been fixed but some broken chairs put in front which didn't take my dogs long to figure out & no outside light in garden so i had to use my phone torch to make sure they did not escape at night....

"This is a really lovely and immaculately maintained property, and one that provides and excellent base for exploring the Lake District. It is very well equipped and comfortable, and also nice and quiet - just the tonic if on a break. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing and also exploring the local area, which was new to us. "The house was located in Askham where we were going to a wedding. It was super clean and so convenient. Near a pub where other friends were staying and just around the corner from the town store. Very private but central to everything. We would definitely stay there again. Was absolutely perfect!"

"Foxglove cottage is ideally situated in the village, very close to the shop/post office and the excellent "Boot and Shoe" pub. The cottage was clean on arrival, maybe a little dated on the interior, but this adds to the charm. Beds were clean and comfy and the free wi- fi was a nice touch along with the freeview tv. Plenty of good walks and a lovely park and outdoor pool nearby."

"Had a relaxing and very peaceful stay at Heron Cottage. The bed was really comfy and the area was so peaceful it made for a very relaxing break. Beautiful area away from the bustle of the nearby Lake District. Plenty to see and do in the area."
