Venus Beach Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We really enjoyed our stay as a couple travelling with a toddler. We particularly liked the room, which had a lovely sea view and good size balcony. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent. We liked the closeness to the beach which has breakers so very suitable with small kids, however do note that this is not part of the hotel so you do pay for sunbeds or can use the public area. The pool area was not too busy when travelling in early October, although the pool was a bit on the cold side. There is a useful little shop in the hotel. There are restaurants within walking distance but it would be great if the hotel had a bit more lunch options (not just buffet but simpler a la carte dishes). There was a taverna by the waterfront which was nice but also had a slightly limited menu. There is no playground or specific kids pool with small slides or anything like that - not anything we needed on this trip, but worth noting. There is a kids game room / arcade which is a bit dated. All in all we thought we felt the hotel was good value and would stay again. The hotel doesn't offer airport transfer as was noted, we were just given a number to book ourselves - would be better service if this was done by the hotel (although recommend just using Bolt)."

"Lovely hotel. Very clean and tidy. Excellent hard working staff. Always willing to help you with anything you need. Bring you drinks while you are lounging on the ample amount of sunbeds round by two, big, clean swimming pools. Even have an indoor one too. Exceptionally clean room with fresh towels and bedding everyday. Breakfast has lots to choose from. Just remember you are in Cyprus not the UK or your home country so it’s not the same as the food back home. There is something for everyone for sure from freshly cooked omelettes (my fav) to honey, cereals, yogurt, fresh bread, fresh fruit, waffles, cake, cheese, nuts, juices, pancakes, croissants, bacon, eggs etc. Lovely location right next to the beach. Entertainment everyday from archery to boule on the beach and music and dancing shows. Great for families and adults alike. One pool is adults only so was nice, quiet and relaxing. Life guard always on duty. Hotel approx 30 min stroll to the harbour. Purpose built walk way all the way and you can stop and have a drink at the many bars along the route or go to any of the beaches along the way. Most have a toilet not too far away. You can get a bus from the airport for only €2 per person if you know where your nearest stop is if you don’t mind a short walk. A taxi was €45. Very happy will definitely visit again! Highly recommend all round. Very happy husband and wife."

"Hotel very nice,breakfast is to expensive, unless included in your stay, can get breakfast elsewhere for half the price and very good, balcony was very small, shower wasn’t very powerful, bed was extremely comfortable, staff were very helpful"

"All good and gave full marks as the minor issues we found did not distract significantly Spacious and well equipped apartments and great value for money.. 4 pools were well maintained and clean. Reception responsive to small issues and sorted same. Local area is quiet but has plenty of supermarkets and restaurants within a short walk and the main harbour areas a 20 min walk. We enjoyed our stay"

"Really friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful setting. Great location, ideal for exploring Paphos - just a few metres from a bus station. The bar staff in particular deserve a mention. Great fun and great service."

"What an amazing place to stay! Lovely from the moment you walk into reception, right through to the tasteful rooms. The buffet style breakfast had something to suit everyone and all the staff are efficient and very friendly. We received an excellent recommendation for Laterna tavern, a place we would return too also. The hotel bar area (Harley's) was a very pleasant area to enjoy from anything to a coffee to something 'a little stronger.' 😉 The location is also second to none with everything within a few minutes walk. This will definitely be our new 'go-to' for our weekends in Paphos-huge thanks to all the staff as they work tirelessly so you enjoy your stay as all is 5 🌟 treatment!"
