“wonderfull experience”
great hotel , great service, especially the ladies at the breakfast and the restaurants of the hotel. family friendly but for romance as well
“Comfortable and stylish, right on the beach”
A super contemporary and comfortable hotel, great location and choice of restaurants.
“Haven of relaxation”
Hotel has a modern feel but bedrooms still need updating, especially the wet room in bathroom, as tiles had come off and others needed a steam clean! Service was good and problems were dealt with promptly. Menus were varied but we chose to eat out. Spa was adult free and highly relaxing which suited our purpose and for that reason we would go back.
“Good for a no-frills chill-out”
OK, so the hotel isn't in the prettiest of locations and you do hear road noise from the boy-racers in certain parts of the hotel. However, on the plus side, if you want easy access to bars and restaurants, then this hotel has dozens within 5-10 minutes walking distance. The hotel looks a tiny bit tired, but it's clean and the service is good. The food is also good. Our room was comfortable, but functional. The grounds and pool areas are nice. You can also use the facilities of the Annabelle (right next door) if you fancy a change of sunbed scenery! The guest services staff were lovely and arranged a cake for us on arrival (it was our anniversary) The spa is beautifully laid out. I did experience some problems with my treatments, but the spa manager resolved these professionally. We would return again if we wanted another reasonably-priced chill out week in the sun.
“Excellent family holiday”
We`ve just returned from a great family week at The Almyra in Paphos, everything from the start to finish of our stay was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who made our stay very enjoyable. It was my little girls birthday whilst on holiday and staff arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered to our room which was extremely thoughtful and much appreciated. Pool area was shaded which again was ideal for young children and sun loungers were extremely big and comfortable. Location was a few minutes walk to the harbour where there were a number of lovely restaurants. My husband and I did have a night in one of the hotel restaurants Notious which was excellent, maybe one of the best meal we`ve had over the years. Hotel breakfast was also of a very high standard with a great variety of fresh food. We can not praise this hotel enough and would definitely return one day.
“lovely hotel, but let down by small details”
This was a lovely hotel in a great location in paphos. I have just returned from a 10 day holiday there with my partner. I think this is without doubt the best hotel in this area. It's very stylish with a minimialistic, contemporary design, and the service very good. The parts that made the hotel stand out for me were the separate pool areas. The hotel is very family friendly, so if you don't have kids I would definitely recommend going to the pool by the spa! There's a large main pool that children can use, and then the infinity spa pool for adults only. They have large double bed-style sunloungers, which were great, and we never had any problems finding one spare. The biggest downside was the cost of food/drinks: 2 large glasses of local beer (keo) cost 10 euros, and the small pizza I ate in the main restaurant was appaling: at 15 euros I was expecting far better. We expected 5 star prices, but also 5 star quality. Which was a shame, as the setting was stunning and should have been fully booked everynight. Luckily, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the harbour and the town, so plenty of restaurants nearby. We would certainly have spent more in the hotel if we hadn't felt we were being so overcharged for everything. Small details matter and a few complimentary touches would have left a less bitter taste. Overall though: the hotel is a lovely oasis of calm away from paphos, but near enough to enjoy the nightlife and activity too.
“Great spa, great food!”
The highlights of the Almyra in our opinion are the spa area (quiet, child-free, nice pool, good restaurant/cafe and excellent spa facilities) and Notios restaurant (lovely food served by great staff in a fantastic setting overlooking the sea). But the rooms are good too. Ours was one with a sea view and was light and airy and had a fantastic view over the harbour and out to sea. This is a very child-friendly hotel, which is great if you have children. But if you don't then an escape to the spa area is highly recommended along with slightly later dining.
“Excellent hotel and great location”
Tthe hotel is clearly very popular with families with young children and with very good reason. It really is an excellent choice for young families and accommodates the children extremely well. Having said that I was there with young teenagers and they were very happy.
“Good hotel. Didn't like Paphos”
This hotel is the best thing in Paphos. Good rooms, lovely heated pool, good food but expensive. Lots of families in this Easter holiday week. Pahos itself was very disappointing. Very touristy and catering for Brits Abroad. Purpose built and nothing pretty or authentic. If it wasn't for the great hotel we would have left earlier.
“A great hotel”
Overall the hotel was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We can't fault the spa area nor the other facilities offered (although be warned that off season most of the hotel dining facilities are not in operation). Our only negative comment would be that we would not recommend booking the "inland view" rooms. Although the rooms looked out on to a lovely garden area, this was close to a busy road and the rooms were not well sound-proofed. We had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed the hotel thoroughly but wished we had booked a sea view room.
