“Friendly hotel”
the hotel could do with some renovation which it is supposedly having next year. it has an excellent gym, indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. The hotels food isnt so great or varied but the staff are very friendly.it is next door to the tomb of the kings and on the beach, you can get a bus for 1 euro to the harbour or to coral bay. there are some very friendly bars opposite the hotel in particular DT's Sunset was cheap and the staff there were great!
“Lovely relaxing break”
Had a lovely relaxing break at the venus beach hotel, Went for B+B as enjoyed eating out at many restaurants closeby hotel or short (+ very easy) bus ride to paphos harbour. Beach quite small but sea great for a swim, hotel pool also lovely but very cold! Couldnt fault our stay at all....didnt stick around for the entertainment evenings though...bingo or 'homeland dancing' not really our cup of tea!
“It was a nice hotel.”
Clean modern room but no tea-making facilities and pillows were very hard. Small balcony with a great view of pool and sea. Not many sun beds around the pool but there are plenty dotted around on grass between pool and beach. Pool was never too busy. Friendly, helpful staff. Couldn't get late room check out but a free room was provided for us to get changed and to tidy up before our flight. I liked the location as it was handy for other places but it might be a bit too far out for some. Bus stop outside hotel goes to Coral Bay with its nice sandy beach. Stop across the road goes to the harbour, about 15 mins. There are a few restaurants, bars and supermarkets opposite the hotel.
“Good Quality Hotel.”
We always go back to the Venus Beach hotel as we find it gives good value for money. It has a well equiped gym, outdoor tenis courts and good evening entertainment during the holiday seasons.
“Good value but shows its age”
We got a very good deal from Expedia. The hotel claims 5 stars but as Expedia says, it is more like a 3 star hotel. The meals are all buffet and the food itself is varied. The hotel has all the facilities one would expect. The gym is fantastic with many many examples of each piece of equipment.
“Waiting next summer to visit cyprus again”
The hotel was nice, i found that i had he best rate through expedia. Best value for money.
“In need of a refit”
We got married here 10 years ago when it was probably just about 5 star standard. Today it is looking tired and the attention to detail has long since gone. This hotel would struggle to meet 3 star status in England
“will never go back here”
Upon arrival, staff was quite rude. This hotel is old, needs renovation. Air conditioning did not work, complained to staff, nothing done. No amenities such as shampoo..had to go out to buy them. Breakfast buffet barely edible. Hotel had a weird funky odor. I will not return here on my next trip to paphos.
“This needs a refurb !!”
This used to be a very nice hotel, and to be fair the communal areas are OK and the staff are pleasant, however, the rooms are appalling - I don't know how they can boast a 5 star rating - it simply does not compare to other 5 star hotels in Paphos. The room was very dirty and had not been redecorated for years, but that was the least of our worries !! The Air conditioning did not work, and we had to have all the bedding replaced as we were bitten to pieces by bed bugs !! in a so called 5 star. One to avoid unless the rooms are refurbished.
“Ein drei Sterne Hotel”
Standard entspricht einem Hotel mit 3 Sternen. Geschirr wird nicht abgräumt, die Zimmer sind verwohnt und müssten dringend renoviert werden.
