We arrived late evening to the inviting castle like entrance and immediately the service was as it continued throughout to be excellent. We sat and had a welcome glass of lemon drink which was refreshing. On our first morning we had breakfast which was served in the lovely lemonia restaurant. The chef cooking omelettes to order was signing and joking and multi tasking. Cooking 3 omelettes at once and talking to guests and sorting the toast and staff. He was a real character. We then collected our towels from the Spa and proceeded to the pool. A lot of towels had been placed on beds reserving them. We complained and immediately this was addressed. We sat where we wanted and the following morning each guest had a letter explaining the policy of not reserving sun beds. The weather was fresh and invigorating. We swam in the hotel pool and the beach at the bottom of the lovely landscaped gardens. Everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaners in the rooms were absolutely brilliant.

From arrival to leaving the service we received was great. Suite was fabulous, spacious well equipped ,not that we used much, even had our own hot tub.
Only criticism we had the toilet flush was not good. Also the Chinese buffet was bad only bad meal we had on the island.
This hotel is really great value for money, all nice and clean if a little basic, but if you need just a base in a very central position the will fit the bill. The staff were all keen to help whatever the problem, go for it!.

the hotel was very pleasant and lovely grounds and service excellent. however the bathrooms need updating as they are looking very tired need renovating and decorating found various crawly things some days in the bathrooms.
the entire holiday, was absolutely perfect! i shared the same view with my partner who came with me, we couldn't fault a single thing about the hotel, the staff or the area. there was plenty to do, the weather was lovely and the food was brilliant! the locals bend over backwards and ensure that you are having the best time and experience possible. our room was cleaned three times a day, or checked on. if we had any questions they were answered, and the efficiency of staff was exceptional.
id return to papahos and the almyra hotel tomorrow if we could!
also the best massage ive ever had at there award winning spa!

"Beautiful hotel, short walk from everything u want"
This was mine and my partners first proper holiday together and we wanted to get everything right. After reading countless reviews for different hotels we decided this was the one for us and we wernt wrong which is why I want to leave a review for others. I couldnt fault the place and that's being completely honest. Always things to do as such a short walk to the harbour, seafront, bars etc etc. We maybe should have gone half board or at least had breakfast included but were glad we wernt all inclusive as although the food was lovely and varied, we got to see so many things and meet the locals. We had 12 nights here and it was just perfect. I strongly recommend this hotel to the young and old and whether you're after relaxation or a bit of fun :)
