"Poseidonia Beach Hotel Limassol, Overall very good!"
We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights, we got half board accomodation. We hired a car so some days we didnt spend at the hotel much.
Each day we had breakfast, no need for lunch as it was so warm. In the evenings we tended to have the included buffet meal. The meals were in general average, however this is understandable as the majority of guests were on all inclusive accomodation and were paying in the region of £15 more than us per day, the hotel would be bankrupt if it were top class gormet meals!!!
The rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning, good shower/bathroom and the room included a locking combination safe to store valuables during daytime.
The bar and restaurant staff were all nice, friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is located in a good part of limassol, minutes drive away from the A1 motorway and close to local bars, cafes, supermarkets and service stations.
Its location served very well as a base to travel the island using the hire car, which we could park for free in the front of the hotel.
We were very pleased with the hotel and would recommend to friends.

We had a wonderful week at the Almyra on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was lovely and very well cared for. Towels were replaced three times a day. The breakfast was fantastic and we were very well looked after by the breakfast team. We sampled the snack menu by the pool and it was very tasty, delivered promptly to our sunbeds. The hotel is situated round the bay from the castle and in easy walking distance from the port. Hairdryer, all toiletries, robes and slippers were provided.
There are many lovely restaurants close by and we enjoyed eating out every evening.
We arrived late evening to the inviting castle like entrance and immediately the service was as it continued throughout to be excellent. We sat and had a welcome glass of lemon drink which was refreshing. On our first morning we had breakfast which was served in the lovely lemonia restaurant. The chef cooking omelettes to order was signing and joking and multi tasking. Cooking 3 omelettes at once and talking to guests and sorting the toast and staff. He was a real character. We then collected our towels from the Spa and proceeded to the pool. A lot of towels had been placed on beds reserving them. We complained and immediately this was addressed. We sat where we wanted and the following morning each guest had a letter explaining the policy of not reserving sun beds. The weather was fresh and invigorating. We swam in the hotel pool and the beach at the bottom of the lovely landscaped gardens. Everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaners in the rooms were absolutely brilliant.

We stayed 3 nights at the Alexander The Great and from the moment you walked through the door everything was geared up to improving and exceeding the guest experience. At the end of our stay we were completing the Questionnaire and I said to my partner is there anything at this hotel that doesn't rate as "Excellent" ? She couldn't think of anything and neither could I. My only thought was I hope not too many people discover this gem otherwise we won't be able to book a room in the future! I recommend the sea facing rooms; at night you can just hear the crash of waves on the rocks with the window open, the silouette of the palm trees against the sunset is amazing and from most rooms you can see the old fort lit up across the bay. Even with the hotel fully booked it didn't seem busy and all the hotel staff were very attentive.
Hotel was impressive on first impressions and upgraded immediately to a Superior Sea View room which was fantastic. Room was clean and plenty spacious enough with a nice balcony and a great view.
The complex is huge and was great to walk around. Pool area is excellent and the small private beach is clean and close by in a nice secluded bay.
Staff were all very polite and courteous and happy to assist and always say hello. The hotel facilities were excellent with lots of different options for mealtimes and some very impressive restaurants for dinner, in all of which the food and service were excellent with the staff being very accommodating (on one occasion squeezing an extra table on to the terrace so we could eat outside even though full).
A short walk to Coral Bay with plenty of bars and restaurants, and an excellent regular and cheap bus service giving easy access to Paphos, add to the attraction of the hotel.
All in all a truly excellent trip and would go back to this hotel without hesitation.

Very, very good staff. Unusual features such as adult only pool, and adult only library/lounge. Kids have their place, adults can have theirs, too. Very nice place to stay.
The local church bells ringing out at midnight and 7 am were a bit of a pain, but apart from that, very quiet ambience.
High security fencing - could rival Camp Bastion, but did not stop the local cats coming in for a purr and a snack from leftovers.
