We normally stay prior to catching the Ouistreham (Caen)/ Portsmouth ferry. This year we stayed for two nights and had a good tour around the D.Day battlefields. The Le Saint Georges survived the onslaught,it is traditional French chateau style, with character,(don't expect modern Ibis style) . Our room was spotless with ensuite, very comfortable bed, wifi etc, with a beautiful view of Sword beach. Lovely garden to the rear with parking. The restaurant is a beautiful area and the food is fabulous with excellent staff.
Lovely view over the marina from our balcony. we travelled with two children aged 9 and 12 who loved the indoor pool. (Outdoor closed until May). our two story apartment for six was comfortable and spacious for a family of four, but could have slept a couple more on the sofa bed in living room. we ate at one of the two bistros on the marina, a few metres from the front door, very reasonable and delicious food. 5 mins over the estuary bridge to beautiful long beach and promenade which leads to smart Cabourg. Very quiet out of season but still enough buzz from local restaurants. All in all, perfect base for the many local attractions of Normandy. Our children enjoyed the Bayeaux Tapestry. modern, very practical, perfectly clean and great value for money. great for families; all restaurants very family friendly. Great mini golf on the beach!

From the outside the hotel looks very nice, inside it was a little dated and in need of some general TLC. The room was very basic as expected but was clean. The staff were hard to find there was nobody on reception when we arrived or when we needed to check out in the morning to catch our ferry and had to wait some time after several rings of the bell. If you need a very basic clean room in close proximity for the early morning ferry then it is fine I wouldn't stay otherwise.
Great location, calm, quiet room in pleasant hotel. Room had all we needed and hotel was an easy 20 mins drive in early morning to ferry back to Portsmouth. Beach is also nice, good for children and with cafes and shops nearby.

Room had no outside window, just one opening into a corridor. En suite was 1 metre square so you can imagine how big shower was when there was a awsh basin and toilet in it. But it did only cost 40 Euros a night for the double room!

Just spent one night here after ferry journey. Hotel is fine. Rooms little tired. Clean but need some work for the prices charged. We were moved from our first room because we couldn't see how to work blinds (well couldn't see any blinds but apparently they were there). No need to move us really - someone could have just shown us the trick. Second room was larger but one bedside lamp for three beds. Basically nothing matches. Some might find this charming but it does rather look like someone has just been out to the local shop/market. Lovely garden out the back of hotel which has its own parking - a definite advantage. Near the beach but don't expect too much time on the balcony as main road is busy. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but ok. Staff were friendly. Overpriced for what it is. A pet hate is shower gel in dispenser. Think for these prices we should have something classier or at least know what it is. Amazing firework display on beach the night we were there which was an added bonus.

Great hotel, with excellent location and ambiance. Excellent alternative as a base to explore the D Day sites. Fantastic price-quaility ratio. Cabourg is a quiet, sunny town, with a great French savoir vivre.
