“Poor Neighbourhood for a hotel”

Although the hotel was close to the airport, the neighbourhood was terrible. Garbage piled up on the side of the street and a rather seedy look at night. The airport staff said a short 10 minute walk or ask a taxi for the price. 30 Euros for a 3 minute drive wasn't going to cut it.

“Best around for bad location”

EZ check in with a late arrival. Three minute taxi ride from airport cost me 16 Euro (15 quoted) which is recommended after dark, but otherwise is an easy 15-20 min walk in good weather and daylight hours to/from the Naval base or airport gates (maybe 400 meters). Staff was very courteous and spoke English. Rooms were simple but clean. Hotel restaurant meals were a bit pricey for portion but presented well. Breakfast buffet is actually continental style but with adequate options. This hotel is probably your best choice if you need to be next to the airport (which is quiet at night) or its adjacent military bases. Did not use the Wi-fi.

“Go to the Charming Hotel - this one is SCARY!”

This hotel is scary and smoky. It is downright disgusting. I have stayed across the street at the Charming Hotel 4 times nhow and it is FAR better. Stay at the Charming - they are nicer, they have the Internet, the walk to the airport is minorly closer. This Millenium Gold Hotel is just scary.

“basic overnight room for an early morning flight.”

Naples, in general, is a dangerous city and the area around the airport is very seedy. If you are staying along the Amalfi coast, it is usually easier to stay at a hotel near the airport when catching an early morning flight. This hotel is a 5 minute cride from the airport and while there is one other hotel right on the airport entrance, but I wanted to try something different. There is an electric fence surrounding the property and there should be. I would not want to try to walk to or from the airport at any time of day, but especially at night, because the roads are dark and vacant unless you stay on the busy main road the triples the distance. That being said, the front desk called a taxi for me the next morning and there was no problem. This a very basic hotel and, despite the location, my room was clean and quiet. My only "heads-up" is that the T.V. is a 13" model and the "satelite cable" offered very little and nothing in English.

Very convenient hotel to Naples airport. Hotel staff very friendly.
