It was perfect. It was cheap. It was clean. The shower was strong and hot. I just needed a place to stay in Nagoya for the night and it provided exactly what I needed at a price that was super affordable. I would recommend it for any sojourner coming thru Nagoya.
Outstanding Hilton Hotel. Even though we could not speak Japanese the staff were simply brilliant and we did not feel there was a language barrier. They made us feel like we were at 'home'. Nothing was too much trouble. The courtesy bus to the Nagoya Train Station was terrific. The hotel is very central to everything and there are numerous wonderful eating places close by.
The three of us (my wife, 18 month old son and myself) spent a total of 4 nights at the b nagoya, split into 2 sets of 2 nights at both the start and end of our adventure into central Japan. Conveniently located near the Sakae subway station, it would be difficult to find any fault with our stay at the b.
We requested for the king size bed / standard double room - while it was a little tight inside, there was sufficient space to unpack and move around. Rooms are well equipped, modern, and come with independent air-conditioning control (as opposed to a centralised system). The toilet / bath is typical of Japanese hotels; there was enough room for us to bathe the toddler too! Conveniently located outside the hotel is also a Lawson store where you can pick up any supplies required.
Breakfast (if you can score a package deal with your stay or are happy to pay for it) was a pleasant surprise - selection is decent with some interesting Japanese / fusion dishes and the usual Western breakfast range of bacon, eggs, cereals, toast, etc. The laundry facility is also extremely handy (or a godsend if you're running low on clothes) - note that there are only 3 machines available and you need to head down to the lobby and pay a fee if you'd like to use one. You'll be handed a key to a machine if available upon payment (machines are individually partitioned with a lockable front door).
All-in-all we had an extremely pleasant stay and we can highly recommend the b nagoya!!
The Hotel was located in a very central area close to shopping, food,central park,Nagoya tower and the Subway station. We like this Hotel very much cause it is not a group tourist hotel so the lobby is never crowded at all.The room has all the facilities of kettle with compliments of Japanese tea and a fridge.Wish there was complimentary coffee as well The bathroom had all the amenities like shampoo,shower cream, facial wash as well as toothpaste,toothbrush and shaver. Best of all we had room cleaning everyday and with new towels as well. The only down side is the TV is so small for modern Japan where electronics is so advance. Our Group of 9 persons all agree that this is a very good hotel to stay on.
