“The vibrant off centre location is what makes it.”

We chose this hotel because of its location. We wanted to be outside the central tourist zone and in a part of London that we knew had lots of local character. The Jury's chain has a good reputation and we thought the hotel was reasonable value, with no frills but very comfortable for our short break. Our reception was friendly and the first floor room was a good size and very clean, and even though we faced out onto the main road we were not disturbed by street noise. Islington's street markets, interesting local shops and a huge variety of restaurants and traditional pubs are within a few minutes walk. Everywhere was buzzing on a Saturday night and if you want to eat out locally booking is advisable. The area is within easy reach of the main tourist destinations by public transport and on foot. The walk to St Paul's Cathedral through the back streets of Islington, Finsbury and Clerkenwell via Smithfield Market is a great introduction to Georgian and Victorian London. We will be going back.

Good location,excellent breakfast,very clean & bright. Has facilities for leaving your luggage at no charge & the bar is open until 1.30. An excellent hotel for the money. It is quite a walk uphill from Kings Cross but only a short walk to Angel. Only problem is Angel is on a route that is not much use ,so you still have to change at Kings X

Hotel is convenient to underground (Angel), has nice restaurants, and rooms are typical. Air condition is a little loud, but that's the only issue.

“Perfect for Business Travel”

Jury's Inn seemed like a British version of the American Holiday Inn. The place was very clean and well serviced but had British quirks such as small (but nicely appointed) elevators and slightly outdated bathrooms (compared to new U.S. hotels). The breakfast buffet was very good and was 9 pounds, probably a decent price for London and is a good price for business travel anywhere. The neighborhood has tons of shops and restaurants that won't break your budget and it seemed pretty safe for walking around at night. The hotel is a 5 min. taxi ride from the Eurostar terminal at Saint Pancras station, and it's only a block away from the nearest Underground station.

I had stayed at this hotel a few years ago, and I was very impressed with the service at that time. This time, most of the front desk personnel were rude. The hotel is conveniently located to the Angel tube stop, and it includes a breakfast buffet. It is well maintained. We were very pleased that computers were installed mid week in the lobby.

“Overpriced for the standard offerred”

Hotel was being renovated and you had to enjoy the smell of paint. This was a relatively expensive hotel for the facilities on offer, the bedrooms were clean and had all basic comforts but would not qualify as having many luxury touches. Overall for this kind of price I have stayed in much more welcoming and higher standard hotels. Breakfast was very "standard" buffet style with overcooked eggs -fried- and the inevitable scrambled rubber that results when such eggs are kept on a hot tray for self service. Add to this decor that was more fast food outlet than smart hotel restuarant and the best one can say is "adiquate" - my office canteen has a better self service coffee machine with a range of options than this hotel. So overall I was disapointed.
