There is a lovely place to sit outside with amazing views. Hay-on-Wye is literally an 8 minute drive away and lives up to its name of a bookish town. One of our favourite get always and I can’t recommend enough!"

"This is a delightful well equipped property which proved cosy and comfortable , much needed in a week of poor weather. The upstairs bedroom is far superior to the downstairs, as is the upstairs bathroom but twin beds don’t suit, and we weren’t sure if they were zip and link It would be really great if they were! We appreciated decent number of dishwasher and laundry tablets, provisions for the dog, and a quirky welcome pack. Thank you."

"The cabin was such a special place with the river right at the edge of the garden. We sat out and enjoyed dinner on the platform just next to the water and lit a small fire in the fire pit under the stars. The property was ideal for myself and my two young children (6 and 8, all of us sharing the one room) but would also be great for a couple looking for a getaway in a convenient location for exploring the beautiful surrounding area."

"My husband and our teenagers stayed there while visiting relatives in the area. My teenagers' exact words to describe the place were "cute and cozy". Check-in and check-out instructions were easy to understand which is always helpful. Special gratitude to the host who helped my little family solve some transportation issues to Hay due to some very bad weather. "From start to finish our experience at Cobblers cottage was a wonderful one. Located in a small rural village, the sound of the babbling stream and sheep are the only things you will hear during your stay. The property is very spacious with everything you will ever need for your time here. We visited with our dog and she was welcome at the property and even had some treats waiting for her!! Will definitely look to come back again, but this time for longer!!"

"The listing was for a ‘gorgeous 2 bed cottage’ and it was certainly that! Such lovely original features but decorated so cleanly and modern. Lovely touches such as milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes left out for us! All the amenities we needed for a short weekend away to visit Zipworld. The original stone flooring did make the downstairs feel chilly for our January trip but the heating was more than sufficient to counteract this and a simple increase on the thermostat quickly made it more...
