About this property

A charming ground-floor cottage with scenic valley views

  • Come and unwind at Lanlas Cottages. Yr Hen Feudy - the former old cow shed - is set in scenic countryside, only a 25-min drive away from the beautiful West Wales coast. It is an idyllic peaceful getaway with underfloor heating and high-speed WiFi >50 Mbps. It also has a key lockbox for easy self check-in.
    Yr Hen Feudy overlooks the Teifi River Valley and accommodates 4 people in two bedrooms. It has an open plan lounge/diner, a fully equipped kitchen and a wet room.
    We are in a secluded quiet area, and yet only 10 minutes drive from the small university town of Lampeter with all amenities. You can see the stars at night, hear the owls call, or watch the buzzards and red kites in the daytime. Guests are also welcome to walk in our own small woodland.
    West Wales is a walker's paradise and there many fantastic local walks close by. The nearest beach is a short drive away with access to the fabulous Ceredigion Coast Path - a 60 mile long trail.

    If you are looking for additional space for friends and family, we also have two further cottages on site: Tŷ Cerbyd (a former Carriage House with one bedroom) and Y Stabl (converted Stable with two bedrooms).

Wonderful Get-Away!

This was one of the best experiences we ever had regarding a vacation home. Wonderful and attentive hosts, a wonderful house, with a wonderful view from the porch, into the quaint world of Mid Wales!

Another Great Stay

This was my 2nd visit and i enjoyed it as much as the first. So relaxing and quiet but close to the town centre if you need to pop in. Lovely hosts who are there if needed. Will be booking again soon.

I have just stayed for 3 days and I have to say i would 100% recommend staying here...The location, how peaceful it is, very clean, owners on hand if necessary, everything you need. I went away for a few days of rest and that is exactly what i got !!

This holiday accommodation was fantastic. It had great views. It was peaceful and relaxing place to stay. They have to lovely pigs that like belly rubs and a little dog that is extremely friendly. The owners are extremely helpful and nice and i would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Beautiful setting

We were very comfortable here, with all we needed for a relaxing week away. Great communication with Daniela who was on hand next door. Great location for exploring the coast as well as further afield. The town of Lampeter is within 5 mins drive, with Co-op the nearest supermarket.

There’s not much to say that hasn’t been already said: I stayed in the cowshed aka Yr Hen Feudy. The top highlights for me were how really comfortable and very clean it was, the host Daniela as an informative and funny conversationalist, fresh eggs from their chickens and cookies upon arrival, the stunning vistas from my patio, the open area for my pets (we were given an inch and we took a foot some days, but the hosts were gentle about it) the adjoining private woodland with Rosie and Gerda the pigs, and the ambling 45 minute walk to town where on the way I saw an Emu, a donkey, baby goats and lamb. I love that the hedgerows along the roads include wild honeysuckle. Very green and quiet. Lovely spot. Easy check in and out. Lots of parking. Private. Beautiful.

Perfect in every respect

This cottage is just lovely. We needed somewhere to stay at fairly short notice to visit an ill relative, and this was just perfect for myself, my wife, and my Dad. Spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could ever need. It's such a shame we couldn't stay longer but it's very likely that we will be back

Escape to the country!

A wonderful, restful stay for myself and two friends. We were looking for somewhere to rest, relax, catch up and read books and we certainly achieved this at this beautiful property. Brilliant communication with the host, they were able to offer recommendations for where to eat in the local area as well as making our check-in and -out process seamless. The proper itself was perfect for what we wanted: comfortable, clean, full of useful amenities and in an ideal location. We loved meeting the dogs, chickens and pigs, as well as the very kind hosts. Thank you very much!

My wife and I, and our little dog, had a lovely long term stay at this cottage. It was spotlessly clean and had everything for our stay. The bed was super comfortable. It was lovely to have the woods to walk through and the balcony to sit outside and watch the chickens waltz by. The scenery from this cottage is wonderful. Daniela was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome. We would definitely stay again.
