"A convenient location to visit Rhyader and the kite feeding. Staff and service were very good but it would have been useful to include parking information in the preliminary information as there is no parking on site. The room and facilities were adequate, good value, but a bit of redecoration in the shower room is needed. The road was very noisy with heavy lorries from late at night and early morning."

"We had an absolutely lovely weekend staying at The Royal Oak. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The scenery was breathtaking and we had a lovely view from our room. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. This is a traditional pub, very cosy and again nicely decorated but retaining its traditional charm. The landlord and landlady were extremely helpful. Above all, this is dog friendly accommodation, a must for us. We would definitely stay here again. "

Great bonus as it wasn’t exactly “flaming June” was the snooker table, especially for the youngsters , there were many challenging matches! Outside facilities were great but because of the weather not uses apart from table tennis and basketball net. Plenty to see and do only a short drive away."
