Everything was amazing. The location is perfect within its own private beach (so keep in mind you'll need to ride a boat to get to this hotel). They offer free speed boat rides at specific times, but be sure to book ahead of time with the concierge as space fills up quickly. Once there's no more space you have to book a long tail boat and pay for this service per person.
You can borrow paddle boards or kayaks and take them around free of charge. This was pretty nice! They also offer complimentary daily activities for guests such as beach yoga, boot camp, beach volleyball, etc... The ocean-facing rooms have amazing views, so recommend staying at one of those.
For breakfast, we recommend booking room inclusive of breakfast as purchasing it onsite is 700THB per person. They do not offer a-la-carte breakfast so you're pretty much stuck with this expense even if you just want some fruit and oatmeal. They do offer an in-room dining option for breakfast, but the price is pretty close to the buffet, so we preferred to go for their buffet option.
Their restaurants are quite pricy and not so spectacular so perhaps try and eat some place within downtown Ao Nang.
Definitely use the monkey trail to go to downtown Ao Nang, it's quite amusing.

We (a family of 3) stayed 4 nights at this hotel and enjoyed it very much. Even it is a bit outside from everything it is a perfect place to relax. As we stayed during the world cup semi finals the hotel staff arranged for us a possibility to watch Brazil vs. Germany at the Hemingway room at 3:00 am in the morning, as TV reception of the game in the room was not possible.
The location was absolutely fine because they provide free shuttle Bas to Ao Nang beach. Secondly, you don't have to bargain price about trip package to the beaches because the hotel has already few package with fixed price which is reasonable. Me and my partner took the 4 Island package. We had so much fun with the tour guide and the facilities provided. And last but not least how sweet the hotel is suprised me with a complementary birthday cake in my room on my birthday. Me and my partner definitely have a great stay there.

The hotel is brand new, great facility. The hotel staff are very unexperienced and no one speaks English except a few of the front desk team members. We went to the restaurant and notices the server brought our food across the street from a different resturant, it was uncovered, not very cleanly. When we paid we had to walk over to the restaurant to pay via credit card. Also, the hotel charges 300 bought per person to go to the airport, redicoulius. We asked to speak to the manager but the manager was offsite.
We loved our stay at Rawi Warin and wouldn't hesitate to go back! We stayed in a Sea View Villa and it was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Air conditioning worked well - which is important! We spent most of our time by the pool, which was clean and fresh towels provided, with a great view of the ocean. The breakfast buffet is top notch. We had dinner in the restaurant a couple of nights and it was very tasty - cheap by Western standards, although a bit pricey by Thailand standards. We used the hotel's private airport transfer from Krabi airport without any hassles at ~AU$100 per trip, which seemed a bit much but worth it for the convenience. Very comfortable van with movies available.
The hotel is very well placed for a bit of on foot exploration but to get further, you'll need to hire a scooter or tuk tuk taxi (if you want to leave the pool at all!) You can hire bikes for 150THB per day.

Reasons I would recommend this hotel:
1. Paradise desert island feel. Private beach just for the hotel. Outriggers owns the whole beach. The beach was really quiet and is complete with a chose of hammocks. The pool is also really tasteful.
2. Quintessential. The hotel is a village of quintessential, tasteful 'huts' on stilts surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants and birds. I felt like a member of the Swiss Family Robinsons.
3. Comfortable. Although the rooms look like huts, the beds are comfy and the rooms tasteful and pristine with wood floors and daily fresh flowers on the bed. Good spacious showers with rain heads (I think that is what they are called).
4. Location. 20 minute speed boat ride to 'The Beach' (Maya Bay). You get there before the crowds arrive from Phuket and Krabi so get a much better experience. Also, trips to James Bond Island and Bamboo Island are also beautiful. Good snorkelling. Boat drivers feed the fish so you get to watch a busy flurry of colourful tropical fish so close that they actually bump into your goggles!
5. Great food. Four restaurants offering a range of food. High quality buffets on offer (with themes such as 'Around the World' and 'Taste of Asia') as well as just ordering from the western or local menus.
6. Friendly. The staff and locals are full of smiles.
I cannot fault this hotel. I came to stay with my boyfriend to celebrate my 30th and it was heavenly.
The hotel is gorgeous, the room, the breakfast, really everything! The staff are so welcoming and smiley all the time.
If i had to complain about anything it would be that there are lots of crabs on the beach but you cant moan about it when the place is called Krabi! lol

We stayed in a pool villa for 4 nights after being upgraded upon arrival by the very helpful manager Abdalla . The views were jaw dropping and the rooms themselves have a massive amount of floor space and a deep, fair sized private pool. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Staff are also great and manager couldn't be more helpful throughout our stay.
