However, the place needs a really good clean - staircase carpets filthy, laundry lying around, corridor cluttered. Only 1 staff at breakfast - supplies lacking and empty. "Really nice stay but shine was taken off by one of staff being quite confrontational. Lovely welcome and check-in spoiled by an older lady I believe called Nicola (that’s what came up on the digital till when I purchased a drink later in the evening) who involved herself unnecessarily in the check-in process. The room was really nice and great value for money. I had a great view of the surrounding countryside. I booked a table for dinner and I found the food okay but again Nicola starred by...

"Very comfy beds. Clean, light room and friendly staff. Tea and coffee available in the room . The karioke downstairs stopped at 11pm which was fine and we slept well. We could have done with some towel hooks or a rail and a few instructions like how to turn on the radiator and what to do with the key when we left ( we worked those things out in the end !)"
