"This house proved to be an idea l place to spend a few days with grandparents, children and grandchildren. The facilities were fantastic and allowed us to enjoy our holiday despite very poor weather. The warm enclosed swimming pool enabled the grand children to improved their swimming skills and the movie screen and projector allowed the adults to catch up on some movies. I hope we get chance to return before long."

"Inclement and changeable weather is a fact of life for the winter months, but in my little aerie overlooking the sea I was cozy and content. With a longer stay that included days of spectacular sunshine and beautiful rainbows I was able to settle in inside a perfectly laid out apt with the ocean steps away. The holiday park is large and if you or any one in your group has mobility issues a car is a must - there is a steep slope/hill leading to treetops. The lodge is located in a quiet area of the park. "Sonachon house is now under new owners Leanne and Aaron. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with full English, cereals, toast, and yoghurt on offer. They also provide some towels for the beach as well as free loan of bucket and spades.There is a spacious communal lounge which was really nice to relax in over a cup of coffee. Rooms were clean and nice ensuite shower room. Aaron tells me that he is planning to offer fishing trips next year for guests. A most enjoyable...

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all...

"First room smelt of smoke but we were moved quickly when we asked for another room. Both rooms we saw had disabled adapted bathrooms. Not sure why we were given those facilities! Breakfast plentiful. Orange juice very cheap and needs replacing but all other breakfast offerings enjoyable. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Parking in multi storey opposite easy though £10 pn extra. We slept well with no disturbance despite the hotel hosting 3 stag groups. "
