“Satisfied Customer”
A little known hotel, but well worth the visit. Excellent value for money. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.
“Excellent Small Hotel in Old Jerusalem”
This small hotel has nice family feel to it. The breakfast is very good, and after breakfast, you feel ready to explore the Old City. The location is convenient to Jaffa Gate (walking distance), Knesset and Israel Museum (short taxi ride), and many other Jerusalem landmarks. The staff is very helpful in directing you to sights and in arranging for tours if you ask them (they schedule Dead Sea and Northern Israel trips for me). The hotel is popular with Orthodox Jewish visitors, so the atmosphere is more quiet and modest than in many larger hotels. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and would definitely stay there again if/when I travel to Jerusalem next time.
“I will stay her EVERY TIME I am in Jerursalem!!!”
I was traveling alone visiting friends in Jerusalem. Liat the desk manager was extremely helpful, resourceful, kind and welcoming! 2 blocks left out of the hotel is a wonderful cafe, Shosh Cafe open 9am-11pm. There is a money changer on the same block/side as cafe(4-5 doors up) very fair! The hotel environment is like someone's home, and you are their guest. Great/simple breakfast. The location was in the center of the city, close to the Israel Museum and EVERYTHING within walking distance. Beautiful, quiet, historic neighborhood. Safe to walk at night. 10 min. walk to Old City + Ben Yahuda st. I miss it already!
“Lovely hotel in the middle of Jerusalem”
The hotel is simple and nice. The staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. The breakfast is excellent. Parking around the hotel requires getting up before 8am to put in the parking ticket, although it is possible to get parking cards in kiosks in the centre of the city that can be used for this purpose.
“It had what I needed from a B&B”
The staff was reasonably helpful (gave us directions, helped us make Sabbath dinner/lunch reservations, reserved a cab for us for our return to Ben Gurion airport). The rooms are spartan but Jerusalem is not a place where you spend much time in your room.
“VERY NICE !!!”
Everything about my stay was better than expected. Location was great!! Convient to bus stops and transportation. Hotel was clean not fancy. Breakfast was more than adequate. When I go back to Jerusalem a stay here is certain!!
“Inexpensive, but not wonderful”
We stayed in in this hotel because of the price/location and the reviews we read about it. I didn't think it was such a great location. I would have preferred to be closer to King George St. It was a very long walk to anywhere we wanted to go. After changing rooms, we got a nicer room, but the third night, I discovered that the sheets weren't very clean, and it seemed like there were tiny dead bugs in the bottom sheet. The two young women working the desk gave us wrong bus information twice, and weren't very professional, but the young man in the evenings was fabulous and directed us to great restaurants and places to see. It wasn't a bad experience, but If I go back to Jerusalem, I'm sure I would try another hotel.
“nothing fancy - but perfect for what we needed”
I was traveling with my daughter and we didn't need a big hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and well kept. The room was sparse with bare basics (there wasn't even a clock) but it was perfect for my travel needs. The front desk staff was polite and very helpful in terms of helping us with touring information. There is a computer with internet in the lobby for customer use. It didn't always work but the staff looked up some things for me from their computer and also printed emails that I could have forwarded there. The breakfast had a nice selection, on the smaller side, but perfect for what we needed. The location is great. It is a 5- 10 minute walk to Ben Yehuda and to Mamila (beautiful outdoor walkway with stores and cafes) and a 20 minute walk to the Western Wall. They told me it doesn't pay to take a bus from The Little House to the Western Wall so you have to walk or take a cab. I would recommend the Little House in Rechavia to other travelers who are looking for a room to stay in, in a great location but don't expect or need a bigger hotel experience.
“Best little bargain in Jerusalem”
I've stayed at the hotel before. it is centrally located in Jerusalem. It is clean and on a quiet street. Breakfast is a little weak, but don't stay at the hotel for breakfast. Many nice little cafes around to have wonderful breakfast. One problem is that internet was not working well. Otherwise great little place to stay
“Very Impressed”
If you are looking for a small hotel with a wonderful staff and comfortable rooms in a clean and friendly environment, then A Little House in Rechavia is the hotel you are looking for. The breakfast buffet includes a variety of delicious foods. This hotel is not only beyond and above excellence in service, but it is within walking distance to almost every place in Jerusalem. My wife and I stayed at this hotel from November 2 to November 15, and we left with a very high level of satisfaction. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing good time in Jerusalem
