"Lovely hotel and staff. Pool is not for swimming, it’s too small. We stayed in a quite spacious, superior room facing the marina, not sure how big the standard rooms are. The bar is very comfortable. If you take the demi pension, at dinner you only have two choices for each course. The director kindly gave us a lift to the walled town (15 mins walk) as the hurricane had just hit and they’re were no taxis that night. "

"Everything was great. Only down side was we paid 18€ each for breakfast buffet (breakfast until 10 am) and they explained that the patries were ordered based on how many people pay. When we showed up for breakfast at 9am, there was not enough pastries for us because the people before us took too many (according to what the receptionist said) and nothing was done to compensate. "Les Charmettes was a treasure to find. Located on the waterfront/promenade with superb views and immediate access to a superb beach. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast (an extra charge but well worth it) was delightful. There is a small fee for parking on site but highly recommended. There is a bistro attached to the property and we had a very pleasant meal and had aperitifs overlooking the beach. We walked downtown to St. Malo proper for dinner one night…....

"The hotel is in the middle of the old town, getting there by car on a Saturday lunchtime was a bit of an experience. Once at the hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful, some do speak English if you do not speak French. "Nice hotel but ban on motorbikes and scooters they failed to tell me about. Booked over a year in advance for secure parking of scooter. They failled to notify me that they wouldnt allow me to park there dispite there being suitable areas to do so. Bike racks and by a wall I was also prepared to pay for a car space. I Notified on their questionaire that I needed parking they apparently replied in french. I was shown this but alas had not received it. If I had I could not have understood it...
