Stayed for one night before catching the ferry, in a double room with an extra bed for our 7 year old son. We had requested secure parking but luckily found a roadside space available, which saved us the cost of the hotel's secure car park (convenient but an additional 14 Euros per night). Staff were very welcoming and we were shown to our room by one of the friendly reception team, which was a nice personal touch. We had a lovely room with tasteful decor, a partial sea view, comfy beds and luxurious ensuite shower room. They had even left two small packs of sweets out next to the coffee-making facilities, which our son thought was brilliant! We all enjoyed the use of the roof level indoor pool, with its massage jets and jacuzzi-type corner, which was very welcome after a long drive. We had an early start the following morning so breakfast wasn't possible for us, but this sounded quite pricey so not sure we would have eaten at the hotel anyway. All in all, a lovely, but far too short-lived, experience!
This is an excellent hotel. The staff are very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfy. The shower cubicle actually had a soapdish - something we've found to be a rarety on our travels. The only problem is parking in the vicinity. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon about 3 p.m. and I think lots of local people were in St Malo for the beach at the time we arrived as all the nearby parking spaces were full and we had to park about half a mile away. In the evening we were able to move the car closer to the hotel. We were only in St Malo for one night as we had spent most of our time in France in the Dordogne. This hotel is very convenient for the ferry terminal and was a pleasant place to spend the last night of our holiday, being an easy walk to all the attractions of the old town.
We enjoyed our recent short stay at the Best Western Balmoral Hotel in Saint-Malo. The bedroom furnishings and en-suite facilities were excellent.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke very good English.

Perfect for a long weekend, staff absolutely so friendly and did not bother us. Rooms cleaned to perfection, great spot with having a balcony and listening to the music in the evening & on check out they allowed us to keep our room until later on - definitely will be back very soon !!!
Booked last minute having decided to go away for a few days to france, shame about the rain. Great Modern looking entrance into hotel, booking in was very easy only took seconds. Room was fairly small but comfortable, with a nice bathroom. We had a sea view, with small balcony. Could not be any closer to the sea, as you are looking straight at the beach. Would have been wonderful if not for the constant rain we had. Its about a 15 minute walk to the walled town of St Malo, straight along the sea front and about 25 minutes from the ferry port. which I don't mind.
