A little gem, where the owners and Staff made us feel at home. The rooms were comfortable, modern and spotless. The buffet breakfast was a real treat; the large variety of warm French breads was a real temptation together with the brioche which was a revelation! But beyond these culinary delights in which the French have no equal, the warmth of French hospitality in this establishment is in a class of its own. I have stayed in four other hotels in St Malo, and Bristol Union wins when it comes to friendly, personal service, and for the overall quality of the product. I just hope I manage to get a room next time!

I needed a convenient hotel for a quick exploration of the walled town during my short visit to take part in the Cancale-St Malo Half Marathon. This hotel was perfect for me as a tourist on foot and only a few hundred yards from the location of the race finish (and coach transfers to the race start).
Staff were friendly and helpful and fluent in English (useful because my French is limited).
Very clean and comfortable room and what I saw of the rest of the hotel was also very clean.
No bath in my room (fine by me), just a proper shower cubicle with a good controllable shower instead.
Check in / check out was quick and simple.

Perfect for a long weekend, staff absolutely so friendly and did not bother us. Rooms cleaned to perfection, great spot with having a balcony and listening to the music in the evening & on check out they allowed us to keep our room until later on - definitely will be back very soon !!!
lovely old hotel which has been renovated. From our room we could see the beach, and part of the square where the artists set up. There was a band on while we were there which we thoroughly enjoyed but if you enjoy peace and quiet you would be best to ask for a room towards the back of the hotel.
The only poor comment that i have is that the breakfast and breakfast service were the worst that we had encountered during our trip. Pastries and bread were rather stale, selection poor and service non existent.
Two day stay, re-visiting this hotel & the buzz of St Malo
Ideal location for short stay--especially if no car. The hotel is a focus of activity within the walls. All the attractions are just outside the hotel door.and within walking distance.
Access to the hotel by car is difficult (streets are pedestrianised) & there is little or no parking by the hotel.& no free parking between 9.00am-8.00pm
Parking in general is a nightmare in St Malo with NO free daytime parking close to the walls (Nearest free parking to the hotel is 3-400yds away, if lucky) All car parks are extremely busy during peak season.

Everything about our stay was delightful. The staff were friendly and very helpful in every respect. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We were directed to nearby parking which was safe and convenient.
This was our second stay at the Elizabeth and we will happily return when in St Malo again.
