"I've not stayed here before and was satisfied overall. It is a pub so a little noisy when in the hotel room as it stays open until 12. However, given it is a pub this is to be expected and not really a criticism. (I booked it knowing it was a pub so my own fault!) Facilities in the room were good - excellent shower and bathroom; tea and coffee-making equipment. Breakfast was good, pricing seems similar to other hotels in the city. "A friend and I went to Frome for a wedding, and staying at the Archangel was perfect. It was close to the wedding, shopping and Frome itself was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful, the venue had a wonderful series of quiet rooms, eating areas and our room was wonderful. The steel and brass fittings and stone work were beautiful. My one piece of feedback would be for our room; it had narrow steps up to the room which I think would not work for anyone who had disabilities. If the room does...

"A great quirky pub with basic but clean accommodation. Debbie was a wonderful hostess and Neville a fantastic cook. We ate in the carriage of a train which was absolutely fantastic. The food was superb. Stayed for 2 nights as we were visiting Cheddar Gorge. The locals made us feel really welcome and it was a real friendly atmosphere. Would certainly recommend the Inn for a stay."

"We loved it! Everything was perfect. The room is big, clean, beautiful. The building is quiet old and that is why we were surprised to find a spotless well decorated and well maintained room.
