“Excellent in every way”
We stayed here just before Christmas and could not fault the hotel .We had a superior double overlooking the floating harbour . The bed was very comfortable and despite it being 2 weekends before Christmas and revellers aplenty , we were not disturbed by noise. The staff were helpful in every way possible and breakfast excellent .The Nespresso was a bonus . Our room was very spacious , however , the bathroom was on the small side , though it suited me to have more space in the room and less in the bathroom . I can understand that one might not be so pleased with a room overlooking the very dull internal bare concrete space .
“Lovely hotel”
Needed somewhere to stay for a one- night stopover in Bristol, and this hotel was perfect. Got a great room-rate, the room was spot on, the hotel was of a very high standard, and did a quality breakfast - i'll be back!
“Tiny room, noisy location and NO aircon”
The smallest hotel room that we ever stayed in. The room was unbearably hot, we asked to be moved but were told the only room left was a smokers room. We were given a fan but this was barely sufficient. We had to close the windows at night due to the noise of smashing bottles and late night revellers. The room and en suite were clean but TINY! If your waist size is more than 34 inches you will struggle to use the toilet, let alone get into the shower. All in all do not stay here if you want a comfortable or peaceful night's sleep
“Great location”
Great location, friendly staff, good facilities. Excellent parking. Would stay here again when return to Bristol.
“Great location but bad bed”
The hotel is close to the main POI in Bristol, but the waterfront rooms are blocked with huge trees. And you might end up with in a room to the back of the building next to a fairly busy road. The room is ok - but definitely not in a 4 star condition. The bed is way too soft, if you lie close to your partner both of you will sink in the mattress so deep that it hurts your back. If you are searching for a well located hotel with high standards, you should avoid The Bristol and try the "raddisson blu".
“Romantic weekend away”
I stayed at the bristol with my boyfriend for 2 nights on the 11th and 12th June 2011. The hotel was in a great location next to plenty of places to eat dinner, breakfast and plenty of bars and a club too. The staff were a bit cold on check in and and check out with no personalised service. I found the rooms very clean, bright and comfortable however one major problem which was ignored rather than followed up is the level of noise made when the room doors slam shut. Throughout the night and especially early in the morning between 7am-9am was sleepless and got me upset and annoyed. Staff disregarded this the next morning. I would only stay here again if other choices of hotels in Bristol were booked up or this hotel had a very good deal on their room tariffs.
“Great hotel, great location!”
This hotel is situated right in the heart of Bristol, close to bars, clubs and restaurants and a short walk to the shops. The hotel is decorated really well with fantastic blackout curtains, the hotel was very quiet which meant we had a perfect nights sleep. Breakfast is a little pricey, but there are lots of restaurants nearby which offer alternatives.
“nice touches”
Were impressed by the little touches - complimentary robe and slippers, good quality toiletries and a hospitality tray with coffee-pod maker. The hotel is right on the harbourside so very close to lots of eateries and tourist attractions. It is adjacent to car park which was free for the weekend. Only one drawback for me was that it it was warm at night and I couldn't seem to adjust the aircon.
“Lovely Winter Warmer Package”
Hotel staff all very friendly, the upgraded room as part of package was really comfortable, well worth the price.
“The Bristol Hotel”
The Bristol hotel was very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room sizes within the same package varied alot in size and facilities. The batroom in the smaller room was very difficult to close the door and the shower flooded the bathroom. The rooms on the forth floor were very noisy with the street noise didnt get much sleep.
