The owner was very transparent about construction going on next door, which it was but we were out of the place early every day so it didn't really impact us. The townhouse was very much as stated in the VRBO description. We had a couple of issues with things like the dishwasher, but the host was very responsive and even came over 1 evening to help us out. He was really nice and helped to make our trip even better....

"It was a lovely gated community , safe and serene surrounded by nature . A bit far from train station though if you don’t have a car . Harold wood station is 9 minutes drive where you can catch the Elizabeth Line . The only concern was that a fob should be given to long term guests to get in and out of the main gate , that was a hassle . Otherwise I would highly recommend this stay ."

Michael was helpful from beginning to end related to his home and navigating the area. At the last minute we needed to add an extra night due and he made this effortless. "House was OK with adequate facilities, except microwave. Problem was we had absolutely no instructions for the operation of any of them. The dryer had an isolation switch (un labelled) that someone turned off and it took us some time to discover the reason for it not operating. The dish washer also failed to run properly and we believe it was due to a blocked filter. We hadn't used it initially so didn't discover the problem until near the end of our stay."

"As usual, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was functional, accessible, very accommodating, and clean. The only improvement opportunity I see is in the stiffness of the mattress in the bedroom, which is rather too soft for me, as I prefer slightly more rigid ones. The sofa bed should also be considered for potential replacement or upgrade. In all, splendid stay as usual"
