"It was a delight to hear the wildlife, and nothing else (!), during my stay at The Hideaway. - Quite refreshing. The accommodation has all one needs, but the emphasis has to be towards the “outdoors”, the tranquillity it offers and marvellous views of the countryside. "The 16c house is quaint with sloping walls and floors, original beams and inglenook fireplaces. Sympathetically renovated with lovely quality finishing. The garden pretty, with lots of spring bulbs emerging and colourful chickens in a stable supplying fresh, warm eggs. Jonathan was the perfect host - attentive, thoughtful and generous. I used the pool, as yet unheated, for invigorating cold water dips, thawing out in a lovely, hot roll-top bath after with a view of the trees. Plentiful dog...

"Really good experience- especially with family. We had a fantastic family get together for a special birthday. The pool was amazing especially with the music and lights and everyone loved it. Our host was welcoming, helpful and accessible.Providing a cot was very useful."

"Our family of 6 had a great 8 night stay. Accommodations are comfortable and everyone was able to spread out. The train is a quick 5 minute walk and a straight shot to Waterloo. It made commuting into London so easy. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, has a small supermarket, coffee shops and pharmacy right up the street. Communication was a breeze and we were welcomed with bread, wine, jam, and butter when we arrived (so grateful after a long day traveling from the US). It has everything you...

"The apartment was clean and had all of the amenities. the shower was hot and fantastic I do not recommend walking from the train station. The sidewalks are all very uneven and it took forever due to our luggage. It was about a 30 minute walk, but took us much longer and we were beat once we arrived. Not the owners fault by any means, but something to note. We had to get to Heathrow and the homeowner offered to take us for the cost of gas, which was a very generous offer!"

"Lovely stay for a weekend, can imagine in the Summer how enjoyable it must be. Lots of animals to feed, check-in basket is super cute, attention to detail leaving us easter eggs (we went on Easter) in the property and by the hen eggs too! Can’t wait to return this time with friends and their kids."
