"Wow! This place was the highlight of our two-month stay in Portugal. The pictures do not do it justice! Amazing views of the city of Funchal from the hills of São Gonçalo, yet only a short drive into downtown (accessible by bus, but car is recommended). The property grounds have a wonderful garden. "It was a nice place to stay within our budget! Judite was great and everything was clean, worked, and felt safe. Judite even accommodated out late arrival - 12:15 am! On the other side, we were aware there was no air conditioning but the apartment often got quite hot and muggy. While the parking was an excellent accommodation, it was quite a tight fit after a precarious drive uphill. All things considered, would absolutely book again!"

"Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The place was very clean. It was great having access to all of the facilities of the park hotel next door. Location was perfect, closer to the “old town” Funchal than most of the hotels, about a 20 min walk to the center, but great area near a lot. Overall I felt very safe, only thing to note is that there is no one at the front desk between midnight and 7am, but you will need your key card to get into the building...

We hired a motorbike and parking outside was not a problem.
