Apartment located in the historic center of Funchal, a few minutes walk from the city center, just below Forte do Pico. House recently restored and transformed into two independent T1 apartments. It presents a modern design, very comfortable and welcoming, with a magnificent view over the bay of Funchal, making it possible, at the New Year's Eve party, to watch and enjoy the fantastic firework display on the common terrace of the building (2 apartments) . Consisting of a spacious bedroom (double bed) with complete private bathroom, a cozy living room with a sofa bed (2 people) and a fully equipped kitchen. It has a private garage for one car (parking B), without any additional cost. Excellent geographical location, close to the access to highways, so you can move around the island and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, and very close to the historic center of Funchal, and you can even get around on foot. Wi-Fi is free.

We stayed there for 4 days only but it was great.the location the view was very nice. It was great to sit on evening after all day hiking and just relax and watch the town from the top as qell as big ships coming and going from port. Thank You for all service. Amazing place!
The location is beautiful. Yes: You will hike up and down but you will love the space, the view, the cleanliness. The friendliness of the man who checked us in and the accommodation of an earlier check-in. The water pressure in the shower and the inability for it to get truly hot are our only real concerns. I imagine the hosts will work on this.

Good stay with just a few little things to improve
We stayed in the flat for four days and really loved the incredible view from the living room. Absolutely perfect for exploring the city by night - the walk to the apartment from the inner city is just a few minutes. Driving there is a little adventure. The street might seem scary because it is very steep but just go for it! The flat was not quite as nice as it looks on the pictures and the kitchen is rather dark as it is in the back of the flat with only a little window. The parking garage is very nice as is the living room. For cleanliness it was alright even though we found some hair in the sink when we arrived and it would have been nice to have a new sponge in the kitchen (the one we had has definitely been used for a while). Over all a solid choice for staying in Funchal for a few days!
Nice apartment…. Everything nice and clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have Air conditioning as we did struggle to sleep at night…
We are fairly fit 60 year olds and managed to walk up and down the very step road twice a day sometimes 3 times.
The apartment was very spacious
The view is really marvelous and we loved staying on the terrace resting after are walking around. The area is very quite no noises at all.
It takes 15 minutes to walk downtown
You have to like walking up and down, but Madeira is all like this

Away from the English weather
We chose this property having done a lot of searching, and we were not disappointed . It was very modern and well equipped. The view over Funchal and the harbour was marvellous, and it kept us glued for hours.
We really enjoyed our 4 weeks, particularly because the weather was so good.
We decided not to rent a car so it was quite an effort to walk up to the property. You need to be fit as the last 2 climbs are very steep, besides the roads and steps before you even get to them.
Judite and Rui were very helpful when our friend visited us.
The apartment itself was lovely…very clean and tastefully decorated, and it met almost all of my needs. Finding and getting to the apartment was insane. The only way to get to it is to drive up a narrow one way street/hill the WRONG way. And the hill is so steep it’s like being on a roller coaster. Once you make it up the hill, you drive along a very narrow alleyway to get to the apartment and garage. The rental car I was in sustained damage from scraping the cement wall opposite the garage. If you stay here and rent a car, do yourself a favor and get the smallest one you can. The apartment also has no air conditioning or window screens. It is close enough to the harbor/town that you can walk, but beware of those hills coming home! Judite was lovely and responsive. I only wish she had been more proactive in giving me directions to the apartment, knowing I was driving a rental from the airport.

Tres bonne communication avec Judithe. L'emplacement est vraiment top, 15min à pied du centre ville avec une merveilleuse vue de la terrasse. Seule point négatif, gros dénivelé et impasse etroite pour arriver au logement. Très compliqué de se garer dans le garage. Nous avons préféré nous garer dans une rue en contre bas et monter tous les jours les 200m de cotes à pied.
Sehr schöne Wohnung mit Terrasse und tollen Blick auf Funchal und das Meer. Weg nach oben schon etwas beschwerlich, da steiler Anstieg. Zufahrtsstraße sehr eng, steil und außergewöhnlich. Wohnung gut ausgestattet. Man hat alles, was man benötigt. Bei technischen Problemen ist Vermieter stets zur Stelle und löst das Problem. Jederzeit zu empfehlen.
Die Wohnung hat alles was es für einen Urlaub braucht. Die Küche ist für eine einfache Urlaubsküche ausgestattet. Es gibt keine Filterkaffemaschine, dafür einen Filter Nr. 4 und einen Wasserkocher. Ein gut sortierter Supermarkt ist in ca. 8 Gehminuten erreichbar( auch So. offen) Die Garage ist super, da kostfreier Parkplatz Mangelware ist. Die Straßen in Funchal sind oft steil, so auch zur FeWo, doch unser 65PS Automatik Aygo hat alle Steigungen problemlos geschafft. In der Bergen ist es oft regnerischener und kälter als in Funchal selbst.Der Blick von der Terrasse über die Bucht war schön.Leider gab es etwas Gerangel mit unseren Nachbarn, die an unserem etwas größeren Tisch ebenfalls die Aussicht genießen wollten.Schön wäre es auch gewesen, wenn wir zu Beginn der Reise an die Touri-Taxe erinnt worden wären und nicht 13Std. vor Abreise.Insgesamt war es ein gelungener Aufenthalt und die FeWo ist zu empfehlen.
Die Ferienunterkunft hat alles was man braucht. Das Bad ist neuwertig. Die Terrasse bietet einen Blick über die Stadt auf den Hafen. Die Innenstadt ist in 5 min zuFuß zu erreichen. Das Einzige was für unseren Geschmack bequemer hätte sein können, ist das Bett (Matratze). Es gibt nur eine grosse Zudecke, wir würden uns 2 Einzeldecken wünschen. Es gibt eine Auswahl an Kissen.
Alles in allem hatten wir einen stressfreien und reibungslosen Aufenthalt! Ein, zwei Verwirrungen haben zwar ein wenig für Aufregung gesorgt, aber das ließ sich dank der super Kommunikation mit der Vermietung schnell klären.Ein Mietwagen ist ein muss damit man alle die tollen Levada Wanderungen und Gipfel Touren erreicht!
Das Appartement ist toll, nur muss man mögen das es immer steil bergauf oder bergab geht um dahin zu kommen. Die Bestückung der Küche lassen nichts zu wünschen übrig.
Die Aussicht ist granios und man kann zu jeder Tageszeit einfach nur auf der Terasse sitzen und die Stadt und das Meer überblicken.
Die Wohnung ist groß, man hat viel Platz. Schöne Terrasse und es war alles da was man braucht. Handtücher, Gewürze, Duschgel usw. Was uns gestört hat war der Geruch im Bad, der aus dem Abfluss oder so kommt und dass kein Mückenschutz an den Fenstern war.
Tolle Aussicht, teilweise etwas laut wenn Nachbarn keine rücksicht nehmen
Strasse zum haus ist eng aber machbar man kommt mit kleinen auto gut in Garage und auch wieder raus
Wir konnten den Aufenthalt hier sehr genießen.
De ligging van het appartement is mooi. de aangegeven voorzieningen zijn er. wel vonden wij dat er veel kapot was. De deur van de koelkast was kapot.
De lamp van de afzuig was kapot.
De lamp in de keuken was Kapot.
De wc bril was zat helemaal los.
De lamp in de badkamer hing los uit het plafond.
De deurkruk van de badkamer was kapot.
En wat meer borden en glazen zou ook niet overbodig zijn.
De kapotte meldingen vermeld ik met opzet omdat ik deze in een ander recensie ook al had gelezen. Hier is dus tot op heden niets mee gedaan.

Manque de confort
Sur les 8 nuits passées, nous avons dû avoir seulement 2 soirées avec de l' eau tiède, le reste les douches se sont faites à l'eau froide malgré l'intervention du propriétaire. Dommage, nous aurions aimé être soutenu, avoir au moins une compensation. J'espère qu'il n'en sera pas de même pour les prochains locataires.
