"I couldn't fault this beautiful spacious home. It had everything we needed for the perfect family get away, and the playroom and trampoline in the garden got a big thumbs up from my grandchildren. The location was great for exploring everything that West Mersea has to offer, especially the seafood! Everyone went away feeling totally relaxed! One big thumbs up for me, was that John the owner greeted me at the property in person to show me how everything worked!"

"We really loved this house. It's been beautifully renovated and was spotlessly clean. Its all very functional and easy. The estate agent who manages the house was very easy to deal with, eg when we wanted to stay an extra night. The area has tons to offer (albeit some places are a 40 minute drive). "For us the parking was difficult. There is a 1 hour restriction in the centre of Woodbridge which made overnight parking a problem. My friend who was the driver is disabled and wasn’t able to walk the distance from the car parks. Apart from that we loved our stay at Glovers Cottage"

"Travelled down for my brother's wedding and had all the family and friends from the states staying. The place was perfect for what we needed and there was plenty of space for us all. Plus the 3 toilets and 2 showers was very handy for everyone getting ready."

"We stayed in late July at this property and had the most amazing time. The property and site in general boasts great amenities and facilities. The host was very accommodating and even helped unite us with some lost items. My one recommendation would be for the host to get slightly nicer pillows for the twin rooms. But other than that I can’t have any complaints."

"Amazing location. Right in middle of where you want to be but so peaceful too. Love dual aspect windows in main bedroom which overlook the sea. Rowland has added a great garden sofa/table area outside with optional sun screen, so we spent most of our time chilling in the garden, soaking up the view and enjoying the fresh catch of the day from over the road. "The property was perfectly situated with local amenities withing walking distance - we didnt have to touch the car for the duration of our get away. The property itself was a great base with more than enough sleeping space for the 6 of us. The only downside that we noticed was the lack of a comfy sitting area after a long day of crabbing down on the jetty. The property did not advertise that it had a living room and did only mention a dining area, an over sight on our part, perhaps reducing...

"It was just myself, my Husband and my 12 yesr old Grandson. The cottage was lovely. Very comfortable and homely. It had a warm and welcoming feel about it. Very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Spotlessly clean and everything provided by the host for a perfect stay. We hope to go back again very soon."

"Nice property - but easy to lock yourself out of front door if you leave the key inside. Clean and spacious You have to pick up key from estate agent in town and then pay £100 deposit... which is a bit annoying and unclear at time of booking..."

"This apartment is of the very highest standard. Beautifully decorated, with everything you would ever need! The location is 2 mins walk to the town or beach. Although there is no parking at the property, there was lots of parking 1 min walk away. Highly recommended! "
