We stayed just one night but the place is really cosy. The room was not really big but there was all that you need,it was perfectly clean and really comfortable. Lovely sea view from the window.the breakfast was good, not excellent but good . we'd stay there again.

Not as bad as some reviews might suggest

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: I did like the decorating of this hotel, the bathroom has been redone recently and was very clean.
Cons: The noisy plumbing, especially during showers I don't think it's necessary to be attached to the same device as the toilet.
Location: The location on the square leads directly to the old pier remains, very interesting view, there are shops very close by.
The hotel room we were in, a standard double, only just about fit the bed, a chair and a dressing table. Personally I would have left the table out, installed shelves for the kettle and teas and made it slightly more roomy. There was a sea view and a balcony both of which were nice. The curtains were stained and several bulbs were out, the DVD player did not work and the plumbing was incredibly noisy. The hotel was only a short walk to the beach, parking and the shops near the centre but a good 15/20 minutes to the pier and other tourist attractions. The breakfast was plentiful in what was offered, which was to be expected and the staff were all very friendly and helpful but not overly conversational.

Nice hotel With a lousy shower

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel except for the shower, which at times wasn't working at all and when it did, only had boiling hot or freezing cold water. Other than that, we had a very pleasant couple of days, the room had a lot of space, the staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was nice too.

Nice short stay in Brighton

We enjoyed one night at The Queensbury. Right next to the main attractions. Rooms are a bit dated but clean, decent continental breakfast. Would recommend ;)

Great location but very, very basic hotel

Posted 12-May-2014
My single room was clean but it was very small and I was unaware that it only had a communal, unclean bathroom (no shower) for bathing which was 2 floors down. It cost £150 for 2 nights which is very poor value. The quilt was old and dirty. The staff were nice and the breakfast was ok.

Good basic seaside accommodation

Lovely clean room but no where to put your clothes. Easy walking distance to the town. Add the parking charges though of £30 for a two night stay to the room rate and it makes this hotel expensive with much better local hotels available for the money.

Great location

The room was tiny and 4 flights up. The bed was pretty lumpy and the light in the bathroom wouldn't turn off. It was in a great location right by our favourite restaurant overlooking the beach.

Clean and tidy with sea views over park

We went shopping to 2 days and spent one night at the hotel. Including having breakfast. One day was not enough would have loved to have stayed there longer and I guess that says it all!

warm and friendly

Pros: cleanliness
Cons: lift,
Location: there were lots to do bars, restaurant on the sea front.
rooms were comfortable n clean, my only problem it was on the fourth floor and there is no lift available problem. not when someone has a knee problem, they were kind enough to move us the following day to the first floor I would recommend it.
