Beautiful hotel

Had a very nice stay at the Louis Fitzgerald. I would definitely stay again, I had no issues the full week I stayed. It's a little out of the city but manageable.

Cons: Extend the shower head so it sprayed on person instead of ledge.
Nice updated bathroom but shower was weird. The shower head was great but didn't extend enough to spray on you. It sprayed on the ledge they had. Not sure what they were thinking of. The location was not that great. 15 min walk to the Luas along the highway and up hills. Comfortable though and great staff. Loved that they were able to get us in early.

Pros: The friendly, helpful staff on the desk and in the bar and restaurant
Cons: The shower controls could be easier to use.
Location: The hotel was a bit out of town
The shower was hard to operate and it was a deep step fro get out of the bathtub, otherwise it was a good experience for us all

Great hotel on a budget

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: price is wonderful
Cons: Should offer free shuttles daily, hourly to Luas train and perhaps pickup from Luas
Location: Next to major restaurant and gas station with sandwiches and chips and coffee inside
Pro's: All the staff was exceptional and beyond helpful during our stay, we especially liked Terry the driver. We opted for a private pickup from the airport that was 45euros. Staff called tour companies to book our day tours. Hotel breakfast was 10euros, included omelet, poached eggs, stewed tomatoes, potatoes, sausage, cereals, fruit, juices and coffee. Con's: Bathroom tub sits pretty high so I wouldn't recommend someone staying here if they have problems lifting their legs high. Although we did not mind, the walk from the hotel to the Luas(metro train) is about 20 minutes on a walkway which is part of a major highway. Some portion at night is very dark since about four lights are out on this path. Although its dark, we never felt we were in any harm. The hotel offers shuttle to Luas on weekends only for 3 euros only. Luas day ticket with unlimited stops is about 7 euros a person which is worth it. You take the luas to the "Abbey" exit which is right after "Jervis" which takes you to City Centre. Overall we enjoyed our time and highly recommend visiting this hotel and Dublin

Louis Fitzferald

Always a nice stay in Louis Fitzgeralds hotel , very friendly staff , clean rooms. The only issue is the new fly over makes it confusing to get to & the views are not the best , but no one really stays in a hotel in Dublin for the views.
