Good value and very clean

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Stayed for 1 night mid July. Great value hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Ice making machines on each floor was a nice touch. Added breakfast next morning for €10 (lots of food choice). Underground secure car park. Close to junction 9 on M50 ring road. You can park your car at the 'Red-Cow' Park/Ride carpark only 1000 metres away (ticket machine - €4 for 8 hours parking) for taking Luas-line (tram) into central Dublin - 20 min's approx €4.50 return). Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Staff Location to Dublin Airport a closeness to Luas for travel into city
Cons: Nothing
Location: We took Luas to city so choices were limitless
Receptionist when we arrived went out of her way to help to very tired travellers.

Not a 4-star hotel

Posted 15-May-2014
The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it was clean (aside from the lingering cigarette smoke smell throughout the whole place) and the staff were incredibly friendly and did their best to help us anyway they could. Other than that, we were totally unimpressed. Our room was very small, the shower head was set at such an angle that you had to bend backwards at an awkward and uncomfortable angle to rinse, and worst of all, most of the "king" beds are two twin mattresses zipped together, so there is a huge ridge in the middle of the bed. Due to the hotel being full the first two nights we were there, we had to deal with the zipped mattresses those nights, but thankfully, the front desk staff were kind enough to move us to a room with a single mattress for the last two nights of our stay (they sent us to there different rooms before they finally got us to one with a single mattress, though, as their accommodations people kept giving them the wrong info). Just very disappointing overall. If we are lucky enough to make a trip to Ireland again, we'll be spending a little more to stay somewhere else.

Enjoyable Stay!!

Posted 25-Apr-2014
Pros: Space of the room, great shower/bath, ice bucket in each room, free car parking.
Cons: ___
Location: Visit to Joel's restaurant is always enjoyable.
Myself and my partner had a vey relaxing stay here! We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who checked us both in promptly. We loved the reception area where there is an old car on show (got some pics beside it!) and when we got to our room we were happy. The room was spacious and modern, it was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet. Ice bucket, tea/coffee facilities are available in the room as well as plenty of toiletries and towels. The free car park a plus and having Joel's right next door was great too! Overall, the hotel is lovely and we would stay again.

Friendly and Convenient

Posted 03-Apr-2014
Pros: Just what we expected for the price we paid
Location: At present in 2014 access from Naas Road is complicated by major road reconstruction. Don't believe Google Maps or Garmin GPS. There is NO back entry
The friendliness of all staff was amazing throughout our 5 day stay. 15 minute walk to Luas Red Cow makes it very convenient to get into Dublin without parking hassles. Secure underground car park at LF means yor car is safe day and night. My only complant is that the temperature indoors was a bit too high. But each to their own I guess. One excellent restaurant as part of the hotel and Joel's right next door if you need a change. Didn't try Joel's myself, but must be ok judging by the traffic.

Excellent Location for business and pleasure.

Posted 24-Jan-2014
Pros: All of the above.
Cons: Beds had that roll into the middle problem and in one instance the join of the two single beds was uncomfortable.
Location: Excellent location!
For Business and for entertainment, the hotel is ideally located to all the main thoroughfares and means of transport to and across the city. The hotel itself is very warm, comfortable and welcoming.Underground car park is really handy and safe. Bedrooms comfortable for the most part and clean - good wifi. Loved the bar/restaurant; the ambiance and very friendly staff. Despite this though and the good food, it was disappointing to find some excellent menu choices on the first visit, gone off the menu entirely on the second visit. Also there wasn't great continuity from one evenings meal to the next. eg,a curry on one night, excellent consistency etc., the second night, the same meal wasn't of the same standard. Perhaps a different chefs interpretation, but it was disappointing. Overall I still enjoyed my several stays in the hotel and will definitely use it again.

Convenient access to motorways

I usually stay here when I need overnight accommodation in Dublin. It ticks all the boxes, most specifically, the price is right. Plenty of bang for your buck here.
