“Wonderful hotel for a short stay”
A very warm welcoming by the staff including hot towels to freshen up after travelling. All staff extremely helpful. We stayed on the executive floor and had use of the executive lounge which was adequatley stocked. The bathroom in our room was very spacious with a seperate bath and large walk in shower. Will definatley recommend this hotel to our friends.
“Go for the executive floor!”
We got a really good deal through Expedia for the executive floor. this is the fourth floor of the hotel and has its own lounge area where you can get tea and drinks through out the day. We had bath robes, slippers, etc in the room. Its not a hotel to stay in if you want views becasue its looks out onto Croke Park. But its great for location and comfort. Ideal for a romantic break. you can walk into dublin in aprox 25mins. Really clean, quiet and modern. The staff were grand, didnt really need to speak to anyone after check in.
“Lovely Hotel & Staff”
One of a kind Architectural Hotel in old Dublin. Truly a focal point of chic design. Wonderful staff with very comfortable rooms.
“just on the edge of the action”
Croke Park Hotel is right opposite the GAA stadium, however,it is only a 10 minute walk from the top of O`Connell Street where the action starts! All the facilities are of a high standard and even the Guinness is not too expensive @ 4.7 Euro.
“Fantastic weekend at The Croke Park !”
Stayed for three nights with friends and had chosen this hotel over others from web reviews. On arrival we were welcomed by staff offering hot towels to refresh ourselves and were given rooms on the "Executive" 4th floor, (many thanks for the deal Expedia !!). The Executive room allowed for free WiFi, a large, clean and comfortable room, access to the executive lounge with free continental breakfast / newspapers and free coffee/tea/juice and water all day. Another nice touch in the room were vouchers for a free drink per person per evening either at the bar or by room service! The "fold down" service also included lavender scented bed warmers and usual chocolate on the pillow. The hotel is a 15 min walk to O'Connell Street, or a taxi ride of 10 euro. We also booked tour bus tickets from the hotel concierge and were given the tickets at a discounted rate. The buses stop at the hotel on their travels as they visit the Croke Park stadium. We also visited the restuarant and bar and found them to be priced comparably or even cheaper than bars in the city centre. Food was excellent and absolutely no complaints. I must also mention the Italian restuarant about 100 yds up the road - Enoteca D'Asti - if you get the chance visit ! Food was brill, prices reasonable and staff fantastic. I've visited Dublin on numerous occasions. This is by far the best hotel i've stayed at and would thouroughly reccomend it. I will be back ! (hopefully soon !)
“Great hotel”
After reading some of the reviews about this hotel and the surrounding area, I was a little worried. The hotel is a little out of the way but is definitely within walking distance to the city. Besides the best way to experience the city is to walk it. Although I never walked the streets alone, I don't think I would have felt unsafe doing so. Me and my husband walked the streets from the city back to our hotel nightly, usually well after dark. You can take the back way or you can walk a little further out of the way and stay primarily on main streets. Either way, we both felt very safe. The hotel itself is well kept and the staff is extremely friendly. The free wi-fi was a huge plus for us, especially since cell service is really not an option for non EU travelers. I would definitely recommended this hotel and would consider staying there again if I am ever back in the area.
“Very impressed”
Bar was great. Beds were comfortable. Spacious room.
“Recommend”
The Croke Park Hotel is an excellent place to stay to be comfortable and away from the city center. The staff was very helpful, I had witnessed them loaning umbrellas to guests when it rained and even have extra converters to a guest who forgot to pack one. We ended up have issues with out flight and arrived in Dublin without suitcases, they gave us drink coupons for the room. Taxis are easy to get and they are the most friendly people to talk too. Yes we did a lot of walking to get to Temple Bar area or shopping but overall everything is reachable to walk then take a train or bus to any attraction. We really saw more by strolling through the area and the people were friendly. I read some comments about the breakfast that if you boo through Expedia - the hotel was not aware. this did happen to us too. I had a copy of my reservation and pointed it out when we came down in the morning. The staff was nice and we did not experience many issues with it. Yes I had to show it more then once. But by day 3 the staff knew we had it included.
“Wonderful Hotel”
We recently stayed at the Croke Park in Dublin and were extremely satisfied! The room was beautiful and so comfortable! The staff were all great and so courteous! We would highly recommend this hotel and certainly would stay there again!!
“Great hotel in the capital”
This was my second stay in this hotel and I can only say that it is excellent. The staff have a great attitude, the hotel is new and clean and comfortable, parking is free. Nothing is too much trouble for the team. I travel a lot (too much if you ask my wife) and I would recommend this hotel to the business or leisure traveller alike.
